When measuring the 41812 grab bars (champagne bronze...), is 12" from the end to end of the fixture or is the 12" the length of the bar? Thanks very much!!

Is it possible to install this on a bath deck to assist getting out of the bathtub. If so, would it be necessary to purchase 2 - 1 for each side.

The Delta Faucet model 41812-CZ 12" Contemporary Decorative ADA Grab Bar In Champagne Bronze is recommended to be installed onto a wall or ceramic tile with a wall stud to ensure it remains mounted properly. We cannot guarantee a safe and sturdy installation if it is installed into the deck of a tub.
