A great, substantial and attractive option for safety grab bars!
We had these installed in our shower. They are very elegant and very substantial. Love that there is a good variety of finishes to match existing features. Purchased for a disabled family member, but find I am using them just as well. Feel very safe with them.

How can I shorten the length on this 41824 grab bar?

Thank you for your question on the Delta Contemporary Decorative ADA Grab Bar - 24". I will be more than happy to assist you. Unfortunately, we do not recommend trimming these so I cannot give you an answer on what to use. If you are pressed on this being trimmed you may do so as long as there are no notches at the end of the bar where the bar inserts into the mounting plate but please keep in mind if this is cut wrong it will void the warranty. If you need anything further please contact us by calling 800-345-3358.

Is the bar smooth or textured? Wet hands may slip if smooth and not textured.

Unfortunately, this bar is not textured, although our sister company, Liberty Hardware does carry a line of Delta branded ADA compliant grab bars which are peened.

With what kind of metal is it made?

Do you need to purchase wall support anchors for this grab bar?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 41824.
This grab bar includes mounting screws and a hollow-wall anchor for one end of the bar. It is recommended to install with at least one end stud mounted with the included wood screws.

The concealed mount faceplate on my 41824-SS grab bar keeps falling off. How can I attach it so it won't fall off?
