Wrong product
What was in the box was the wrong color product. The outside of the box indicates that the grab bar is black, but what was inside is silver. I need to return it.

Slippery
I just had two grab bars installed. One 12” and one 18”. I love the looks of them both. I do find the one, that is on an angle, quite slippery, when trying to grab hold of it. I’ll be looking for some sort a gripper product, to put on it.

Nice contemporary look.
Great match to existing bath fixtures. Contemporary look. A bit slippery to grab on to - would be nice to have had some roughness as some of my chrome bars have. If purchasing additional bars, would look for something that would enhance the safety feature for which it was purchased.

Beefy bad boy grab-bar!
This grab bar is strong! It has a nice, ample size bar which works nice for someone with a larger hand and the matte black looks great and coordinates well with the other matte black hardware in the room. We installed this in a remodeled master bathroom with a modern farmhouse look, on the wall next to a toilet for a 300+ lb man and he loves it. We are now ordering another one for his guest bathroom.

Nice looking grab bar!

Big and chunky
This is a lot chunkier than it appears in the picture. Also the polished stainless has sort of a bronze sheen. It does not blend well with chrome. I does however look nice on the glass, marble and stone trim tiles which are in various shades of brown and beige.

If my wall stud spacing is 16" o.c., what length grab bar should I select to ensure attachment to studs?

The stud lay out would need to be set up for the individual grab bar for both ends to connect to a stud. The wall bars are generally for one stud and one non stud connection.

Can you cut the bar to align the supports with the studs?
Thank you for your question, engineer21! Although possible, it is not recommended to cut this bar as doing so will void the warranty and could potentially damage the bar beyond repair.

Can this bar be installed on shower tile for the purpose of only holding wash cloths?

Can you install at an angle and use as a foot rest for shaving or do you have a better product for that? Trying to coordinate a shower foot rest to match my other delta champagne bronze fixtures. Thank you.

Yes, this grab bar can be installed at an angle. We don't have an accessory designed as a foot rest, but this should support some of your body weight. It may be slippery when wet.

We're considering the Delta 12" 41912 SS grab bars for our home. What's the guage and diameter of this product? Also, is it one solid piece? It looks like there's a welding break in the bar?! Is the material made of solid 304 stainless steel?

Are these grab bars intended to be installed inside a tiled shower area. I.E. are they made to be used in a wet area?
