re: 36" Angular Modern Decorative ADA Grab Bar in Venetian Bronze, MODEL#: 41936-RB Can these grab bars be cut to a shorter length? You offer 24" and 36" versions; I need one 28" long/wide. If this model can be cut to a shorter length, can you do it?

What is the recommended weight capacity of this particular grab bar?
I have these grab bars installed in a shower. The square covers that fit over the ends will not stay in place but fall off and dangle from the bars. Did my contractor miss something in the installation? It does not appear so from the parts list.

The cover plates are held in place by friction but may expand and loosen with warm temperatures. A small bead of silicone can be used to hold the cover plates in place.

Do these grab bars have to be installed on a wood backboard? My shower enclosure has ceramic tile installed in last 3 years.
