Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product Performance Failure — Lumicoat Finish We recently completed an addition to our home and selected Delta products throughout, including what was the most expensive shower system installed. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing and falls far short of what a reasonable consumer would expect given the cost and brand reputation. The overall material quality is unacceptable. Much of the product appears to be plastic, which is surprising for fixtures marketed and priced as premium. The level of durability and craftsmanship does not align with the investment made in the shower heads, body sprays, and related components. Even more concerning is the extensive staining visible across all fixtures. They already appear decades old despite the fact that we have not yet moved into the addition. The space has only been professionally cleaned and used for a handful of showers. While we may have moderately hard water, we operate a high-quality whole-house water softener, and none of the other fixtures in our home exhibit similar issues. It is also unreasonable to expect homeowners to wipe down every faucet, shower head, or spray after each use simply to maintain a normal appearance — that level of maintenance was never disclosed or represented at the time of purchase. We also note that Delta’s product description states: “Lumicoat® Finishes are guaranteed to resist water spots and mineral buildup and easily wipe clean without chemicals or cleaners on the product’s most commonly touched areas.” Our experience directly contradicts this representation. The fixtures exhibit staining despite minimal use, and the condition cannot reasonably be described as resistant to spotting or buildup. This discrepancy raises serious concerns regarding product performance relative to advertised claims. We anticipate the possibility that this issue may be attributed to water conditions; however, if the product is unable to perform as represented under ordinary residential use — including water treated by a whole-house softener — that represents a material performance concern that should have been disclosed prior to purchase. Absent such disclosure, this raises concerns regarding product fitness, reasonable consumer expectations, and potential warranty or consumer protection implications. We are currently consulting with our plumber regarding removal and replacement costs while we remain within the warranty period. Although your warranty may attempt to exclude labor or plumbing expenses, we reserve the right to pursue recovery of all associated damages should replacement be required due to product deficiencies. We request a prompt response outlining how Delta intends to address this matter. We hope to resolve this cooperatively; however, we are prepared to escalate through formal warranty channels or applicable consumer protection avenues if necessary.

We opened up the box and only looked at the hand shower and it was made of plastic. Terrible QUALITY. That being said, we put the hand shower back in the box and went straight out to ship the product back. We NOW have been charged for 3 body sprays! Unacceptable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful but has issues Nice looking, using 3 as suggested by the layout designer proved a bit disappointing with 1/2" lines as the water pressure is a bit week on the 3rd head. Also Delta champagne bronze is the worst color to match because MOST other goldtones are much more "orange". Matching fixtures with mirrors, shower glass hardware and lighting is a MAJOR issue as Delta does not make them in the champagne bronze finish.

Does 50150SS require a separate rough-in and if so what is the model number?

Hello Tommy22, Thank you for your question. The Delta Surface Mount Body Spray 50150-SS installation requires a 1/2" male threaded pipe fitting to extend 1/4" beyond the finished surface. For instance, In2ition showerhead which give you a stationary showerhead and a handheld showerhead are available in model numbers 58045-RB, 58469-RB-PK, 58065-RB, 58468-RB, 58470-RB, 58471-RB-PK, and 58472-RB. We also have handheld showerhead with slide bars-51308-RB, 51105-RB, 51205-RB, 51405-RB, and 57530-RB. If you are looking for a square jet in the Venetian Bronze, we recommend the 50150-RB.

The inside of the nozzle is stopped up. How do I take it off to clean it.

The trim body can then be unscrewed from the pipe nipple. Our shower will be 5 feet wide. How far will the water from these body sprays effectively (actually provide a pleasant experience) go? I'd hate to spend hundreds of dollars on them only for them to barely reach me 2 feet away.

We just had these body sprays installed and they were placed too high, we thought the pivot feature would solve the issue but they don't pivot down enough - is there an extension we can buy that will allow them to come out of the wall more to pivot more

For rough-in, do I just use a 1/2 drop eared ell? if so, then how far from the finished surface do I need to be with the face of the ell?

The plumber should install a properly anchored 1/2” female pipe fitting (i.e. a drop-ear ell) recessed into the wall, into which a brass pipe nipple of proper length can be fitted once the finished wall is complete. I have 2 body sprays and 1 sits very limp… the other has a nice secure feel and allows for manual swivel… why is one limp ? Defect or a missing washer ?

I have 6 of this sprayers and 4  of them are completely clogged, is only been 2 months since the new installation, so the questions are, do they have warranty? And can I just buy the brass cartridge ?

Hello Alex, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! If your 50150-SS body spray is clogged by debris from the water supply, we would recommend cleaning out any debris to improve the flow. Soaking in 50/50 white vinegar and water can help remove mineral deposits. This surface mount body spray installs directly to a pipe nipple. Parts are not currently available individually. I just installed six of these today and one leaks at the body nipple. I swapped out the spray face, spring and trim bonnet with one of the ones working and it still leaks from the body nipple. Any suggestions on how to fix the one leaking?

Do you have a larger cover plate that goes up against the wall tile for this same model sprayer? The problem I have is the hole that was cut is to big, there is a gap showing when the cover is placed on. I'm trying not to replace tiles.

Is there a slightly larger escutcheon compatible wit the 50150-RB?  The hole is the shower wall from the T50001-RB that I’m replacing is circular and about 1/4 inch shows near the middle of each side of the square 50150-RB escutcheon.
