The handshower clamp is junk
I am extremely disappointed this product. I have had two of these in as many as 4 months. I have done other bathrooms and had other towel bars installed(Moen, Kohler). I can't believe how bad this clamp design is. The unit is nice to look at.. but it stops there.
The first one was replaced under warranty. The second one broke last night after a week of use. The design of the clamp holding the hand shower is flawed. If you want something that you are going to "set and forget" this will be fine. If you want to move the hand shower up and down the bar for different individuals--- LOOK ELSEWHERE.
The worst part is now I need to find something that can use that same anchors on center as this one, since I don’t exactly want to put new anchor penetrations in my brand new shower enclosure.

Doesn't adjust angle no customer service
Bought this shower arm with the valve body and a sink faucet. The sink faucet model 592dst and the valve only time will tell how long they last. As for the shower head it doesn't adjust angles, it should but doesn't, all plastic. The plumber and I monkied with it enough so I get wet not the far wall of the shower. Called the local plumbing supply and Delta and got the same answer "working as designed", suck it up. Will never buy delta again.

VERY DISAPPOINTING
Today was my first shower in my new bathroom. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Wish I would have read the previous reviews before I ordered this. We did a complete remodel of our bath and love our new shower walls. The Delta shower head however is another story. There is no adjustment for the shower to point down. The ball will only adjust down so far which is not far enough. My husband is 6' 1" and it hit him in the top of the head. I am 5' and it just goes over my head completely. Even lowering the mount would not have fixed it. All it would take is a mount with a 45 degree angle. That would fix the issue. No such thing out there. Seems to me like that would be a 'No Brainer" especially with all the reviews I have read.

Perfect Accessory to Rain Head and Shower Jets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Put this in our 1M plus home in our his and her shower. I have the rain head and body jets on my side and my wife has the rain head, body jets, and Hand Shower package. We don't use this as a stand alone shower head, but instead as an accessory to the rain head as you can see in the attached photo. This was a prerequisite of my wife for her side. Worked out perfectly for us.

Returned - But I think it was user error.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before installation, I attempted to put the hand shower in the cradle and it wouldn't fit. After re-ordering hand shower 51708, it was the same way and I discovered I was attempting to use the cradle upside down on the 51308. There's a bigger end and a smaller end. Also (from memory), I believe the slide bar was bent on the 51308. As a side note, the bottom cap on 51708 won't stay in the slide bar and it's always a spare piece laying about in the shower. The 51708 and 51308 appear to have the same slide bar.

Very happy with this shower package

No adjustment of angle...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for a bathroom remodel - this hand held has no angle adjustment in the holder. So it just sprays into your face if you don't hold it in your hand. I have seen other brands that have an adjustment on the holder so you can use it as a stationary shower head. I would of never purchased it I had know this was the case.
I stayed at my sister home after a bathroom remodel and the handhelds had adjustments - I should of found out what Brand she used. In the process of shopping for a replacement. Not happy with the money I spent I expected more.

Great shower!

The only complaints are the head angle has only minor adjustment (must raise and lower to get the proper angle) and the sliding "clip" has a tendency to work it's way loose.

The parking bracket holding the handheld unit has very little adjustment...
The brakes adjustment is from a straight up position shooting straight out down about 20 degrees will not angle down. Having a shower design with no door, the spray guess all the way to the back wall and the ricochet wets the entire floor outside the shower, Having an adjustment of up to 45 degrees would solve this problem. Simple, right?

OK but not very functional
We recently installed this hand held shower and are replacing it. The spray is mostly horizontal and sprays in the face on on the body but not downward to wash hair. Splatters all over when set on the general spray function.

Love it
We bought the whole Delta Cassidy shower set. With the Temp control, pressure assist and the hand held shower with bar. The plumber installed with no issues. The temp control works for the overhead shower and with the hand held. The bar adjusts easily and the hand held shower head has two settings. One thing we were disappointed with is the hand held shower is made of plastic. The one we had years ago was made of metal. It's not flimsy plastic, but it was not expected when we opened the package.

Slide Mount Replacement
Hi,
Is there a replacement part for the slide mount?
We bought this slide bar and hand shower, and it is great!! But, we would like the Shower head to sit on the left side of the bar and tilt forward.
Hi Suexicano,Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the mounts that fit on your model 51308-RB slide bar will not tilt in the proper direction when mounted on the lefthand side since the handshower only goes into the mount in one direction.

Do we need an elbow outlet to install this slide bar? That information is not clear in the online spec sheet. Thanks
Thank you for your question, jc_kdm! This Delta model does not include a wall elbow. Elbows can be purchased separately but you could alternatively install an adjustable shower arm mount instead.

What are the 3 settings? I just had one installed and 2 of the setting are spray patterns the 3rd is just a dribble... The plumber says that is the way it is suppose to be. Is that correct? (Delta 51308)
Thank you for your question, Ellen! The third setting you are referring to is the Pause function which inhibits the flow rate to a trickle in order to conserve water while performing shower tasks such as shaving and lathering while at the same time maintaining your temperature settings.

Is it possible to angle where the shower head sits. Ours doesn’t want to budge from straight up and down so water is just shooting straight forward not down to where you actually stand. I’m worried if I try much harder to adjust it I will break it.
If the bar was mounted upside down, the part that is supposed to pivot will not turn the correct direction.
If your bar is mounted correctly, you may have to loosen the screw inside the "C" shaped mount to allow it to pivot.

Are there any parts available? I need the slide bar mount only! we had a resident (Retirement Community) slip and grab the bar breaking the bottom mount for the bar.

I am thinking of purchasing this hand held shower unit alone - no additional shower head(s) for a small walk-in tile shower replacement of a very old tub. Is the water spray which appears to only be 2 choices be sufficient?

Cassidy hand held but with the Charlotte slide bar
I'm using the Charlotte collection from your Brizo line. I'd like to use the Cassidy hand held but with the Charlotte slide bar because it has the multifunction sprays. Or can you suggest another multifunction hand held that looks good with the Charlotte?
