This hand-shower combo delivers a surprisingly powerful drench despite its water-efficient 1.75 GPM flow, thanks to the smart spray design. The sliding bar + long hose give a lot of flexibility — great if multiple people of different heights use the shower, or if you’re rinsing pets or cleaning the tub. Multiple spray options plus a pause feature give you control over water flow (nice for shaving or lathering). The build feels a bit on the lighter/plastic-side compared with a solid-metal fixture, but overall it’s solid value for a universal shower upgrade.

Obsessed with This Delta Shower Transformation
I have to rave about the Delta Universal Hand Shower 1.75 GPM with the slide bar in Matte Black because this shower head has officially turned my bathroom into a mini spa. First off, the finish is stunning. The matte black looks so modern and elegant, like the kind of shower you see in Pinterest dream bathrooms. It instantly upgraded my whole space.
The flow rate is perfect at 1.75 GPM. It feels amazing and has great pressure, but it’s also super water-efficient. I love that I’m getting a luxurious shower without wasting water or running out of hot water too fast.
The materials feel high-quality and durable, nothing flimsy or cheap. The slide bar is sturdy, the hose moves smoothly, and the hand shower itself feels premium every time I pick it up.
Now, the coverage and adjustability are what sold me. The four spray settings Full Body, Full with Massage, Massaging, and Pause, give you so many options, whether you want a relaxing moment or a more focused spray. The coverage is amazing, and I can adjust the height and angle on the slide bar so easily, which makes it perfect for everyone in the house (and for washing pets!).
And can we talk about the Pause setting? This might be my favorite thing. I can shave, let my hair mask sit, or clean the shower without keeping the water blasting. Total game changer for saving hot water and saving money.
Plus, because it’s part of Delta’s WaterSense line, it uses at least 20% less water without compromising performance, which I love because it’s eco-friendly AND still feels incredible.
If you want a shower head that’s stylish, functional, adjustable, and genuinely fun to use, this is your sign. I’m obsessed.

Loveeee it!
This was so easy to install. I somehow misplaced the instructions and still I had no issue figuring it out. The install took about 5 minutes and everything was done. There were no leaks after install either. I was very impressed with the water pressure and the different settings. I am extremely happy with this upgrade in shower fixture.

Looks good! Hard to twist the shower head holder at first but it loses up. I took it back because I thought it was faulty, but it just needs some work to get it lose. I guess that prevents if from falling.

This is replacing and old delta slide bar with a wider mounting arrangement. Is there a escushion plate that will fit over the mounting nipple to hide the old mounting area? As I measure it, the ID must be 1"

The trim piece model number T11894-SS is wrong. We need a shower handle (aka trim piece) that an adult can use to turn the shower on and adjust the temperature. We were instructed to order valve R10000-UNBXHF as well. We already have the 51361-SS too.

The bottom of the hand shower is cone-shaped and this sits in the adjustable mount. The hand shower can be turned left and right in the mount and is held reliably in place with friction. The mount can also be turned and locked in place.
Model 59716 also used the cone shape to hold the hand shower in place.

The shower outlet port on the valve would be plumbed to the included wall elbow. For a tub and shower combo, this valve trim and hand shower can be used with the matching RP93273 Modern Push-Diverter Tub Spout In Chrome by plumbing the tub spout to the bottom outlet port on the valve.

I've bought this product and installed it. I missed the fact it would only tilt 15 degrees which defeats the purpose I bought it for. Do you have a different tilt mechanism that tilts closer to straight down (and doesn't just spray across the entire tub)?
51361-SS head not much pressure and the "pause" leaks profusely. Do I ask for replacement, or did my plumber run pipe thread into it so far that it gummed some stuff up?

This hand shower can be used with a 1700 series or any shower faucet. The included wall elbow connects to a 1/2" pipe nipple. The series of the shower will depend on the handle valve that is used to turn on the shower and adjust the temperature.
