Nice shower addition
Delta makes great products, this is nice and lightweight with decent pressure for rinsing off. It took a little bit to get the handle to stop leaking but works good now. Install was good and not hard to setup.

This showerhead is so sleek and beautiful! It’s lightweight while still feeling extremely high quality and durable. The attention to detail is perfect. It looks like it will be very easy to clean due to the simplicity and sleek-design. After installation, I was very impressed with the water pressure and ease of use. The slide bar slides effortlessly. The installation was also a breeze, overall! I’m very excited for this new addition to our bathroom. It really elevated the look of the space, and the matte black is gorgeous!

Beautiful until you use it.
It chips within a couple of weeks of use, and after just over a year of use, it is missing six inches of black paint. We are not rough with it, and it is not used every day.

what valve do i need to spec with this?
Thank you for your question, Katie. This hand shower will work with any of our shower valves. A complete shower will require an R10000 rough-in valve and 13/14, 17, or 17T series trim kit. You will also need a supply elbow such as the 50570. If you wish to divert between the hand shower and other components, you will need an R11000 rough-in and a coordinating diverter trim.

I want to get more water flow out of this hand-held head. Can I remover the small plastic valve at the inlet of the unit to increase water flow?

Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to remove or modify anything for the Delta 51567 shower unit. Doing so may result in voiding any warranty that the unit may have.

How does the bar "adjust"?
Customer wants "button" mechanism to loosen the bar so the hand held moves up and down. I don't see a button on the Ara bar, but I don't see a lever either.

Thanks for your question. There should actually be a button on either front or back of this slide mechanism. When pressed, this would allow the slide mechanism to move up and down the bar.

In our state we need to have a back flow preventer attached to the hand held to pass plumbing code. Can you tell me what the part number is for this item?

As stated in the Warranty section of the Maintenance and Installation manual, this hand shower does contain an internal backflow protection system as well as two certified check valves internally.

Is there a recommend height placement for the supply elbow? My mom is elderly and short,4’10”. She also wants to be able to use the hand held shower head to wash her small dog in the shower.

Regarding 51567 - Can the Slide Mechanism (RP64239) piece be mounted on either slide of the bar? The picture shows right-mounted but we're wondering if it can be mounted on left hand side of the slide bar,meaning is it interchangeable (left or right side)

What else is needed?
Remodeling a bathroom and would like to use this along with a T-17 Shower head in the shower. What else do I need for the install beside the head, hose and bar. Is a diverter valve necessary? what about a wall mount connection?

Thank you for your question. Besides the 17 Trim and R10000 valve, you will need a 3-Setting diverter. Once option is a shower arm diverter, such as the U4929-SS-PK. For a wall-mounted diverter you will need the R11000 valve, a 3-Setting trim, and a supply elbow. Below are the items in the Ara collection in Stainless Steel.

Does the hand held rotates up and down when attached to the bar?
