Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife loves the fan spray for cleaning shower Well we had a little setback with this unit. For some reason the hose that was included with it had a 1/2" NPT thread on the end to connect to the elbow, instead of the 1/2" NPSM thread that is on the 50560BL elbow that is recommended for it. I called Delta and explained the problem and the customer service rep and I went through the technical specs and it clearly states that they have different threads. The customer rep was awesome and sent me out a new hose and it screwed on perfectly just like it should have! So kudos to their service department (although it was quite a wait on hold) once I got through she was awesome. Oh and for the person who noted the water pressure, make sure you first fire it up without the hand wand attached to make sure any little debris is cleaned out instead of plugging up your jets, also (and I'm not sure this is recommended or endorsed by Delta, so do so at your own risk, but there's a little O ring in the bottom of the handle where the debris filter is. I would assume that if that was removed it would increase your pressure/flow slightly

What is the part number for the slide bar mechanism? How can I replace it?

The 51584 series shower head does not have very much water pressure. Is there an adjustment that allows me to add more pressure?

Hi Carol44, Thank you for your question! Unfortunately there is no way to increase the flow rate for this model. This hand shower only provides a flow rate of 1.75gpm. You can install a shower head, body jets and the 51584-PR with an in-wall diverter, or you can use two shower heads, or two hand showers, it all depends on what you want and what your area of residence approves of. What thermostatic valve would you recommend using with 51584-PR? WE are not going to have a tub faucet or additional shower head so won't need a diverter.

A rough valve (R10000-UNWS), a trim kit (Any T13/14, T17, or 17T Series in BL) and lastly either a 3 way diverter or main diverter trim. I am wanting black matt for my vanity, tub and shower faucets in the Stryke series but that finish does not come in lumicoat. Will I notice a difference? What shower and vanity series has Black Matt in lumicoat?

Is the 51584 sliding bar hand shower compatible with the Delta Lahara dual function valve trim (T-17038)?  I already plan to use the R10000UNWS valve and the appropriate elbow.  I do not need a diverter.

I have a model 51584 slide bar shower.  It is getting loose and I can’t figure out ho to remove the slide bar from the wall brackets.  I thought maybe there would be set screws but it doesn’t look like there are.  Thanks

If you have the shower trim and shower rough valve, you could connect this slide bar hand shower with hose to an elbow like 50560-SS-PR or to a shower arm, and use the hand shower like a shower head.
