Replacement bar
This bar is a replacement for a bar with a worn out height adjuster. It is fine, the holes weren’t the same but the length was, hard installation with a hole that needed to be caulked. All ok.

Good quality but the 24" slide bar is too short
We installed this about a year ago but found that the 24" slide bar is not long enough to accomodate the shower height of a tall, standing person as well as a wheelchair-bound person. It would be so more versatile to offer this with either the 36" or 42" slide bar/grab bar.

Is this grab bar made of solid chrome? or what material?

We manufacture most of our products like this for safety as well as the longevity of the model. Fully metallic products tend to rust over time and could potentially cause damage if dropped or if it falls.

We recently had installed the Delta Faucet 51600-SS. When I move the shower head and hose up and down on the vertical hand bar I want to lock it in place. Arrows show up and down. I needed extreme pressure to lock it in place. Please advise.

Can the 42" length grab bar (41842) be used with the slide bar assembly instead of the 24" length grab/slide bar?
Thank you for your question, ecco_design! The U6500 Slide Mount will work on the model 41842 Grab Bar. You can then purchase the U495D-60-PK Hose Assembly and 50560 Wall Elbow separately.

Can I use a different wall supply elbow - for example the Brizo Odin wall supply elbow?
Thank you for your question, Rosemary! Our hand shower hoses have a standard 1/2" connection and will work with any of our wall elbows as well as those by most other manufacturers including the Brizo wall elbows.

The handheld shower can go up & down, left & right, how about pivoting/tilting? If not which model does?? Pivot/tilt is a very IMPORTANT function in 'adjustable'!!!!
I just ordered this exact model because of the answer Delta Faucet provided above. The shower mount does NOT tilt. It is stationary, not on any kind of ball joint to allow a down/up rotation of the head. You can slide it up, you can turn the head left/right, but you cannot rotate or pivot the shower head down or up.

On model# DEL51600-SS, it looks like there might be black or rubber at the adjustable clamp? Only one picture on line & it is hard to tell.

What material is the adjustable slide bracket that holds the shower head? Metal? Plastic? A closely held proprietary secret? Seriously, this should be in the specs as those of us with any experience know plastic slide bracket are prone to breaking...

What is the diameter of the bar on Model 51600?
Can this be mounted horizontally instead of vertically?
Does the hand held shower mount allow tilting to direct the spray down instead of straight out? Would an elderly person with limited hand strength be able to adjust? My mom is 88 and I want to know if this will work for her.

how does this compare with MODEL#: 51900: That one is an 1 1/4", what is the diameter of this grab bar? That supports 500# what is this rated at? This has a wall connector and that one doesn't, is that correct?

The grab bar is ADA compliant and can hold up to 500 lbs when installed per accessibility guidelines of the act. The 51600-SS does not come with a hand shower. The 51900 comes with a hand shower. Our shower slide bar does not lock securely on to the round grab bar. Tried all mounts ,none will help secure the locking arm. Any suggestions? They want to order another assembly.

Installing riser elbow to 1/2" supply: which direction is the "supplied installation gasket" oriented at the base? In other words, is it flush, or the other way where there is a small, rounded extrusion between the wall and the gasket?
