Delta® Decorative Grab/Slide Bars are ADA Compliant. They can be positioned 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. The bars do not rotate within the fittings and will support up to 500 pounds of force, twice the ADA requirement of 250 pounds of force, when properly installed. A retrievable grab/slide bar wall anchor is also included for ease of removal. With three spray-selection buttons and a pause feature that allow you to choose up to nine spray settings with a simple, one-handed activation, the ActivTouch® hand shower delivers a new level of innovation to enhance the showering experience. The 60”-82” stretchable stainless steel hose option offers maximum flexibility. Install and product quality
While the general configuration will fit my need, I was a bit discouraged that there were so many plastic components. The screws provided to mount the bar were inferior and broke during installation. We had to buy additional screws. The mount blocks to the screw plate is set so it is not possible to rotate the hole pattern so that it can optimally access a stud. Other than that, installation instructions were relatively easy to follow.

Delighted with this fixture. The water comes out very gently. The pause button is extremely useful. We use the bar as a grab bar as well as a slider. The lever to move the bar is easy to use. Great addition to our shower for the handicapped person and for the others in our house. Very attractive as well.

How do you get 9 functions on handheld?
As someone previously posted, there weren't directions on using the various buttons - 4 are obvious, but what are the others? I also wish it had more powerful of spray, but I understand the water-saving efforts engineered into fixtures these days.

Excellent choice!
We chose this hand shower for the discreet assist slide bar. What a great option! We made sure to have proper backing in place behind our custom shower walls to this bar is firmly attached. The hand shower is a good choice we several spray options, from gentle to a powerful spray.

Collar too large for bar-Customer Service no help
I bought this product last week. When I went to install it, the collar that holds the hand held wand is too large to fit on the bar. It looks like a sleeve is missing or I have the wrong collar. Customer service told me to take the unit back to the store for a refund or replacement. It has already been installed. I asked for a different collar. They do not send parts, and there is no other collar for this unit. I sent pictures, but the CSR did not understand what I was saying. She kept talking over me and then read me the directions. She then said that the handle turned to tighten the unit. (Nope) She had no idea what she was talking about. I wedged something in between the bar and the bracket to make it work, but it is a short term solution. I will probably buy a bracket from a different manufacturer.
This unit has lots of nice features and looks nice. I can't fault the overall product, except for the collar that goes around the bar. Other pictures of Delta brackets show 2 inserts- I was not offered the smaller one.

PERFECT for an ADA shower
I love this Handheld shower on ADA grab bar. It came with a 2' sliding bar, but I got an additional 3' one that I used with the handheld to make it reachable from standing or sitting on fold-down bench. The 2' bar that came with it, I used separately on the rear wall of the shower. I like all the controls on the handhold and the grip is comfortable.

Very flexible hand shower, though really confusing on how to appropriately select among 8 combinations of 3 button settings. A picture online with the buttons and what the combinations are would be helpful.

Great Shower head!
I received this shower head and immediately wanted to take it out of the box and try it. Its stainless steel with a handle and removable shower head. The shower head has different setting that can be used and a pause button to stop water flow. Its perfect for washing hair and quick rinses. it took about an hour to assemble and install. The directions were precise, clear and easy to follow. I was able to do this on my own without any professional assistance. The shower head has a long handle and cord, it easily stretched to the back of my shower. Its perfect for relaxing everyday use and our family loves this showerhead by Delta.

The convenience of having a shower head on a adjustable rod is great, especially if you are tall and your partner is short!
This is well made with mostly metal parts and has some subtle design elements that make it a bit more interesting.

The combination shower bar and handheld shower head is a dream for my mother. The design is sleek and modern and the shower has a couple of different settings. The bar is helpful in getting in and out of shower but it is also helpful in stabilizing yourself while in the shower. Very impressed with this product. Installation was fairly straight forward as well.

I absolutely love the Delta 51900-SS, it's easy to install aslong as you have the proper tools to install it, this is far the best shower head I have used so far, it has adjustments how you want your water to flow and is easy to use, I love the bar that holds the shower head, it comes in handy for my elderly father in law that lives with us, I do recommend this shower head to anyone

The showerhead came at a great time with just being diagnosed with cancer it moved up and down makes it easy for me to shower. The shower head is awesome it's very chic and in style it GB does very well with my shower I.n my home.

i love my new shower head. i love that i can hold and hit my sore spots on my body with the nice hot water and i love the spray of the water. i love the grab bar to it makes me feel comfort knowing it there if i need to grab something. this is a great setup to have. i love it it was very easy to install took no time at all. i did it myself

Great variety of features
The Delta Faucet 9-Spray ADA-Compliant Slide Bar Hand Held Shower with Hose, is absolutely fantastic. Our shower stall is separate from the tub so having the safety feature of a grab bar installed is genius.I always associated the grab bar as something seniors would use, I was wrong. My husband Installed and it and once we located the studs in the wall to mount the grab bar to, it was a breeze. The stainless steel finish is gorgeous and wipes clean. There are 9 different settings from massage to soft rain or a full stream shower feels so good. I have an 8 yr. old who says she is too old for tub baths. The hand held sprayer attaches to the grab bar and is adjustable, up or down, which makes her feel special~ I think my favorite feature with this unit is that you can clean the spray head just using your finger tip...yes, finger tip. Just touch the holes on the sprayer and you wipe off the film. It's definitely a time saver when cleaning. I love the hose, it's long enough to reach over your head and back for a clean rinse of the soap without twisting and getting in your way! And because it's a Delta, it comes with a limited lifetime warranty - you just don't see many products that offer it anymore. This shower unit is by far the best on the market and I am thrilled I have the opportunity to use it in my home. You won't be disappointed with the quality.

I just installed this today and the pause button does not work. It slows the water, but a lot of water still flows through. Is there somthing that may be installed wrong?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 51900-RB Slide Bar Hand Shower pause button is not a complete and positive shut off. There will be a trickle of water from the hand shower still, when the pause setting is activated. How do you turn it on and off and adjust the temperature? Do you need a separate component?
Thank you for your question, Sarah! To use this hand shower and slide bar, you will need to also install a universal rough in valve like the R10000-UNBX along with a diverting valve like the R11000. You could alternatively install a universal valve along with a 3-way shower arm diverter instead.

I'm considering the 51900-RB but I'm concerned about the mounting piece that holds the shower head and it's inability to slide after a couple years of use. Is it possible to order the same hand held shower and ADA grab bar with U6300?
