Delta® Decorative Grab/Slide Bars are ADA Compliant. They can be positioned 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. The bars do not rotate within the fittings and will support up to 500 pounds of force, twice the ADA requirement of 250 pounds of force, when properly installed. A retrievable grab/slide bar wall anchor is also included for ease of removal. Delta is committed to supporting water conservation around the globe and has been recognized as WaterSense® Manufacturer Partner of the Year in 2011, 2013, and 2014. With three spray-selection buttons and a pause feature that allow you to choose up to nine spray settings with a simple, one-handed activation, the ActivTouch® hand shower delivers a new level of innovation to enhance the showering experience. The 60”-82” stretchable stainless steel hose option offers maximum flexibility. Waterflow improved
Water pressure was limited. Unscrew showerhead from hose. At the end which was attached to the hose, first remove the mesh filter. Then using tweezers, or I used a large sewing needle to carefully pull out a tiny, black rubber ring that blocks some of the water. Replace mesh filter ring. I believe I saw this on an online video?

we installed this for a client with mobility problems. we placed the bar so she could use the shower head sitting down or if she stands, can move the shower head higher.

ADA approved handheld shower
It fits in my hand very well and I like it, but there are three buttons for different sprays and the ad says you can have six different sprays but it never gets explained how to do that. They have detailed instructions and diagrams for the plumber to hook things up but neglect to show close up photos and instructions to the user regarding the handle and the buttons. It makes me very angry!

Good for budget friendly projects
Good solution for a project on a tighter budget. The bar is solid and easy to install. We always install backing before the tile, so we don't have an opinion on the provided hollow wall anchor. The shower head is good and being made of plastic keeps it lighter than a solid metal sprayer.

Rust in Water
My issue is that rusty water comes out of the handheld shower if it has been several days since I used the handheld. I am assuming it is the hose and not the showerhead. I guess I will try a new hose, but at this price point I expect better. The grab bar is very nice. The bracket to hold the handheld is sub par and tends to slide down the grab bar. I thought I had a faulty bracket until I read review on the replacement bracket.

Good Sturdy Shower Kit
This is a good sturdy shower kit. The slide bar is also a grip bar and will hold an adult who grabs onto it. The shower head is very nice and has multiple settings.

Install and product quality
While the general configuration will fit my need, I was a bit discouraged that there were so many plastic components. The screws provided to mount the bar were inferior and broke during installation. We had to buy additional screws. The mount blocks to the screw plate is set so it is not possible to rotate the hole pattern so that it can optimally access a stud. Other than that, installation instructions were relatively easy to follow.

Hello, I recently bought this unit and I am trying to find out where to get the cap that covers up the water supply where the hose connects to the water supply. Does Delta make a water supply cap and would it match the finish of this hand held shower?

What is the base metal of this product, and is it suitable for an outdoor shower?

Does this product come in brushed nickel

Hello, After reading the reviews...a few say this shower head does not pivot up and down but it appears to in the video. I'm looking for a shower head to not only move up and down on the bar, but also pivot so the water can flow straight down.

Just installed 51900 if I am holding in my hand w/ buttons facing me & left to right is 1 2 3 what is each button combination for 9 different spray settings? 1 = ? 2 = ? 3 = ? 12 = ? 13 = ? 23 = ? etc

Thank you for your question. The 51900-SS has 8 settings and 1 pause feature. Here are the settings as you are looking at the hand shower, with buttons facing you, with buttons feft to right are 1, 2, and 3:
1 & 3 pushed down: Drenching Full Spray
3 pushed down: Standard Full Spray
1 pushed down: Soft Full Spray
None pushed down: Shampoo Rinsing Spray
2 pushed down: Massage Spray
1, 2, and 3 pushed down: Drenching Full Spray with Massage
1 & 2 pushed down: Wide Full Spray with Massage
2 & 3 pushed down: Full Spray with Massage
To operate the pause control, press the button from the front hand shower handle in order to bring the water output to a trickle. In order to make the water flow normally again, press the button in fom the back of the hand shower handle.

Trying out the 51900 for the first time on installation. The Pause (II) button seems to lower the flow slightly but does not STOP it. It is the single button on the water side of the handle? Do I have a defective activtouch handle? Please advise.

The Pause feature on the hand shower reduces the flow of water to a trickle, allowing you to conserve water while doing tasks such as lathering up or shaving your legs, while maintaining your temperature settings, without allowing water pressure to build up in your pipes. This is not a positive shut-off.
