Delta® Decorative Grab/Slide Bars are ADA Compliant. They can be positioned 33 to 36 inches above the finished floor. The bars do not rotate within the fittings and will support up to 500 pounds of force, twice the ADA requirement of 250 pounds of force, when properly installed. A retrievable grab/slide bar wall anchor is also included for ease of removal. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterflow improved Water pressure was limited. Unscrew showerhead from hose. At the end which was attached to the hose, first remove the mesh filter. Then using tweezers, or I used a large sewing needle to carefully pull out a tiny, black rubber ring that blocks some of the water. Replace mesh filter ring. I believe I saw this on an online video?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ADA approved handheld shower It fits in my hand very well and I like it, but there are three buttons for different sprays and the ad says you can have six different sprays but it never gets explained how to do that. They have detailed instructions and diagrams for the plumber to hook things up but neglect to show close up photos and instructions to the user regarding the handle and the buttons. It makes me very angry!

We always install backing before the tile, so we don't have an opinion on the provided hollow wall anchor. The shower head is good and being made of plastic keeps it lighter than a solid metal sprayer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rust in Water My issue is that rusty water comes out of the handheld shower if it has been several days since I used the handheld. I am assuming it is the hose and not the showerhead. I guess I will try a new hose, but at this price point I expect better. The grab bar is very nice. The bracket to hold the handheld is sub par and tends to slide down the grab bar. I thought I had a faulty bracket until I read review on the replacement bracket.

grab bar handshower holder

on 51900, how do I get the handshower angle to change positions? I loosen the screw but the mount does not rotate michele

Hi Brian, Thank you for your question. The Delta ActivTouch 9-Setting Slide Bar Hand Shower 51900 has 8 settings and 1 pause feature. Here are the settings as you are looking at the hand shower, with buttons facing you, with buttons feft to right are 1, 2, and 3: 1 & 3 pushed down: Drenching Full Spray 3 pushed down: Standard Full Spray 1 pushed down: Soft Full Spray None pushed down: Shampoo Rinsing Spray 2 pushed down: Massage Spray 1, 2, and 3 pushed down: Drenching Full Spray with Massage 1 & 2 pushed down: Wide Full Spray with Massage 2 & 3 pushed down: Full Spray with Massage To operate the pause control, press the button from the front hand shower handle in order to bring the water output to a trickle. What valve is used with the 51900?

if we are not connecting the 51900 to a shower head and want it to have a direct connection to the water line, but additional parts do we need for installation?

In a custom shower setting you would install the R11000 Diverter Rough-In Valve and a matching diverter trim kit, with this Delta ActivTouch 9-Setting Slide Bar Hand Shower 51900. I just installed this today and the pause button does not work. It slows the water, but a lot of water still flows through. Is there somthing that may be installed wrong?

How do you turn it on and off and adjust the temperature? Do you need a separate component?

Hello,  After reading the reviews...a few say this shower head does not pivot up and down but it appears to in the video.  I'm looking for a shower head to not only move up and down on the bar, but also pivot so the water can flow straight down.

Trying out the 51900 for the first time on installation. The Pause (II) button seems to lower the flow slightly but does not STOP it. It is the single button on the water side of the handle? Do I have a defective activtouch handle? Please advise.

Are there plastic components? Concerned about the bracket on the slide bar as well as the showerhead. Too often, these things are plastic and end up not lasting as long as if they were built better, ie metal.
