High pressure...not so much
I was looking for a shower head that would be comparable to my 15 year old Price Pfister rain shower head that broke. This one was the closest I could find to having the same specs (3 settings, 2.5 gpm flow, and size). However, I was pretty disappointed, in that the pressure doesn't live up to what I was expecting. It is better than the other 4 or so that I tried, however.

How does this model compare to the 52688

Thank you for your question. The biggest difference between these models is the flow rate. The Delta 3-Setting Shower Head 52680-SS model has a flow rate of 2.50 GPM at 80 PSI and the Delta H2Okinetic 3-Setting Shower Head 52688-SS has a flow rate of 1.75 GPM at 80 PSI. Complicated Question...RE: swapping out Model 142710-SS to New Shower Arm + Head
Hello!
I have the Delta 142710-SS unit in our new master shower. We have been advised to swap the arm and shower head due to the water shooting on our new shower doors. We want to try to eliminate the amount of water hitting it.
Can we switch the arm out to RP61273-SS? And put shower head 52680 or 52687 on the new arm? Can we do this with the existing model we have (142710) and will either of those shower heads work with the new arm size?

Thank you for your question, Jag. Either showerhead you have listed or the original showerhead that comes with the 142710-SS will work with the RP61273SS shower arm.
Note that the In2ition showerhead that comes with the 142710-SS-I will not work with the RP61273SS.

Can I use this with T17T053-SS? What other parts would I need?

Thank you for your question! You can use this shower head with any of our shower trim kits. With the model T17T053-SS, you will also need an R10000 rough-in valve, a shower arm (RP6023SS), and flange (RP6025SS).

how would this shower head be installed from the ceiling? What part would I need to purchase?

The 52680-RB shower head is designed to work with 1/2" IPS male threads and does not require other parts in order to install. This would also work with longer shower arms such as the Arzo 16" shower arm if installing pipe through the ceiling is not an option. I will include a link to this shower arm below.

Does this showerhead have SpotShield technology for the Stainless Steel finish?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Shower Head 52680-SS does not come in the SpotShield finish. However, it does have the Soft, rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes that allows you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the spray face of your shower head with the touch of a finger.

What is the diameter, in inches, across the face of the showerhead?
The dimensions as listed on your website are 8-5/32 in. H x 4-11/16 in. D x 8-5/32 in. W. I assume the width measurement is actually the diameter but there is no way this shower head is 8+" high and wide unless you stand it so the joint where water comes in to the showerhead is parallel to the surface it's on.

Does this showerhead swivel on the arm? and does it come with the arm?
Thank you for your question, KeithR! The shower head will swivel by about 30 degrees. The shower arm is sold separately. This will work with any standard 1/2" arm such as the RP6023 and RP6025.

Is the 52680 made of plastic?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 52680-CZ shower head is non-metallic. All of our current shower heads are non-metallic. This helps prevent heat transfer that could result in scalding and reduce weight. Non-metallic parts are also beneficial in that they do not rust or corrode. When installed on the wall, does this shower head allow for position adjustments?
I.e. is there a swivel mechanism to slightly adjust the angle left/right? Most wall-mounted showers usually allow for slight position changes, but I can't tell if this one does.

We are thinking of buying this 8" raincan model #52680, but am concerned since several folks stated they had issues with only 2 of 3 settings working. Is this still a problem? Thank you, Ann P
Thank you for your question, Ann P! This is not a typical issue but rather a failure to perform a flush of the valve or shower arm to remove any debris before installing this shower head. The debris then gets inside the unit and can hinder the mode selector. Please know that all Delta shower heads are covered under the lifetime limited warranty and simple, occasional maintenance will help avoid this issue.

What shower arm would you recommend for this shower head?
My husband would like to replace our Chrome finish Delta 14 Series fixtures with Bronze finish. We currently have a spray shower, but would like to replace with this shower head.
We will need to buy both a shower arm/flange in addition to the shower head. What arm would you suggest for ease of install and best performance with this particular shower head? Will Model # RP6023 work and does the shower head itself tilt or is it fixed on the arm?

I just purchased a Delta RP78575SS Stainless 5 setting Touch Clean showerhead. It's great but the 2 gallons per minute flow is disappointing. What model Delta showerhead will give me a better flow rate?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 52680-SS shower head does have three settings Full Body Spray and Messaging Spray are two individual settings. The third setting is the Full Spray with Message which will be the two sprays on at once.

Being so so large, will this nozzle still produce a strong forward shooting spray? What do the three settings do?
I am looking for a Delta Venetian Bronze shower head to go with my new T17T097-RB shower valve. I want a 6" or bigger diameter head but also want a decent forward spray while using the built-in water constrictor (if possible).

Can I remove the front plate of the 52680 to clean or replace the rubber nozzles?

The front cover is not removable. The Touch-Clean spray holes are not designed to be replaced. They allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the spray face of your shower head and hand shower with the touch of a finger.

Water seems to be leaking from the shower head, between the head and the arm. We have replaced the plumbers tape and noticed that the washer may be disintegrating. What is the part number for this and where can I purchase.
