Gorgeous, high quality
The quality of this Delta faucet is absolutely wonderful. It’s heavy and well-made. You can feel the quality when installing it. The mechanism that turns the water on and off is super smooth and I find it easy to adjust the temperature. The water flows out nice and smooth too. Installation was really simple and it hooked up to our current sink very easily. It took about 20 minutes. I love the design of the faucet also. It’s gorgeous and the champagne bronze is light and coordinates with a lot of different finishes. My only issue is that the finish does show water spots extremely easily. Overall a very nice faucet and it’s working super well in our master bath!

Absolutely Fantastic Faucet, Perfect Blend of Form
I couldn’t be happier with my Delta Velum Single Handle Bathroom Faucet in Champagne Bronze. It is hands down one of the best fixtures I have added to my bathroom. From the moment I unboxed it, the quality was obvious. The size is just right for a standard bathroom sink, not too bulky but with enough presence to elevate the whole vanity area. Its compact yet substantial dimensions make it versatile for both small and mid-sized sinks, and the included deck plate makes the installation look seamless.
The build quality is superb. This faucet feels solid and well made in hand, not flimsy or lightweight like lesser brands. The Champagne Bronze finish looks elegant and rich, and so far it resists water spots and fingerprints beautifully, keeping the finish looking newer longer. The weight of the piece feels reassuring too. You can feel the density and sturdiness in every turn and movement.
Ergonomically, the single lever handle is a joy to use. It glides smoothly, allowing for precise control of both water temperature and flow without any stiffness or awkward angles. It is comfortable for everyday use and works great even with wet or soapy hands. The lever motion is intuitive and effortless, which makes routine tasks like washing hands or rinsing easy.

Nice finish

I have a Velum single handle faucet and I have noticed a small amount of water dripping out at the bottom neck of the faucet where the plastic tubing exits. How can this be fixed?

I recommend checking if the drip remains with the aerator or stream straightener removed from the end of the spout. If there is an issue with the aerator seal, water may leak down the spout tube inside the faucet.

I see reviews that this is terribly difficult to keep from showing fingerprints. I was just about ready to purchase this set but now am worried. Thinking of the champagne color or possible the nickel. Is one better than the other? What is lumacoat?

1. Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean microfiber cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a damp microfiber cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward.
If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturer's instructions for use.
Avoid using the following which can damage your finish:
· Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy-duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid bleach-based cleaners.
· Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric, and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents.
· Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes

How do I clean the filter for the Velum faucet?

Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company about 537-MPU-DST! The stream straighter can be removed by using the included wrench. If the flow is lower than normal we would recommend cleaning the flow restrictor. Please see the steps below to clean out the flow restrictor.
Start by turning off both hot and cold, place the handle in the on position to drain out the residual water. Next, place a bowl or bucket in the cabinet directly below the waterline with the blue clip. Remove the blue clip by unsnapping it from the waterline, pull the lines apart, and you should see a small flow restrictor. The restrictor would need to be cleaned out and then reinstalled for full pressure. Please see the link below to the parts diagram showing where the flow restrictor is located.

Is there a better aerator available for this faucet? The aerator supplied with it doesn't actually aerate the flow (just filters it) and the result is a water flow that isn't smooth and actually looks quite rough, which belies the price of the faucet...
