With three spray-selection buttons and a pause feature, ActivTouch hand showers allow you to choose from up to nine different spray settings with a simple, one-handed activation, delivering a new level of innovation for an enhanced handheld showering experience. The pause setting gives you ample space for shaving, lathering and other shower tasks, then easily restarts the water with the temperature where you left off. This spray setting helps you conserve water, so you can worry less about depleting your supply of hot water - and you help the environment too.

Quality handheld
I like the design of this shower handheld. Looks good and has a good feel when you hold it. I’m glad it has a metal hose. I wish the holder was metal also, but it works fine.

Delta 54424 PK
This handheld shower was purchased to replace a Polinex handheld that I purchased twenty years ago. It was very expensive. The shower puts out a nice rain pattern. It does not have a straight through stream and it has very low power and very poor massage settings. I almost put my old polinex back on. If this piece of junk lasts twenty years o will be very surprised.

DELTA 54424-PK 2.5
Installed in a new home selling for approx. $349K. It I use this and several other similar Delta Products in my new construction and remodeling and have had very good luck with their performance and durability.

Delta Hand Shower.
Love this adjustable shower head so much. It can be used as a regular handheld or clipped to a vertical slide bar at a fixed position for hands free. It has three different spray patterns. It is also perfect for washing our two Australian Shepard dogs. We took out our soaking tub during our remodel and used the extra space to make our shower extra large with a large bench. With this hand held shower head plus a fixed rain head shower on the adjacent wall, I don’t miss the tub at all.

Leaks
The actual fixture looks beautiful. For some reason our leaks. We have replaced the diverter twice as well as the tub spout. For some reason water continues to come out of this.

Works great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install...everything included. I love the long hose for ease in rinsing off and spraying out the tub. Push buttons make it easy to adjust the spray. Seems durable and of good quality...time will tell. But for now it is just what I wanted and needed.

Exactly what I needed!
Had Rotator Cuff surgery and needed a hand held shower head. Easy to install, easy to use, different settings, etc. Perfect. Feels a little bit like it might not be very durable or long lasting, but for now, its perfect.

Nice water flow quality
Installation was easy. Unfortunately like other showerheads it's made of plastic. The water quality of the showerhead is excellent. Very saturatIng. ( removing the little green water restrictor in the end of the showerhead helped.) ;-). Though not shown it does come with the hose.

Very Good Hand Shower
My wife had a stroke and broke two veratrae in her neck and i bought this to give her showers, it works great and she say's it feels so good. I would give 5 stars for quality if the hose was stainless steel but it is plastic.

Great features!
I've been using this hand shower for a month and I love it! The spray in adjusted using push buttons - easy to select and adjust. I love being able to rinse down the shower when done. Would be great for someone who uses a shower chair. Wish I hadn't put off buying it for so long.

great shower head!!!!
i love this particular shower head. it has 9 diffrent functions and its simple to use and i love simple!!! i have 4 kids and with a long hose it make bath time very easy, and not to mention cleaning the tile in the shower no more buckets or cups splasing on the wall just pull the handshower down and spary the wall and your done. i would recommend this product to anyone!!

Are there plastic parts in this shower?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 54424-BL-PK ActivTouch Hand Shower and mount are non-metallic. All of our current hand showers are non-metallic. This helps prevent heat transfer that could result in scalding and reduce weight. Non-metallic parts are also beneficial in that they do not rust or corrode. Please know that all of our products are tested to ensure long-lasting use and have a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Mounting on wall
I was wondering what i need to install this on the wall
We are installing a ceiling mounted rain held and would like to put the hand held by the bench. I would like to know what i need to connect this to the copper pipe.>

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Contemporary ActivTouch 9-Setting 54424-RB-PK is a shower arm mounting unit. If you are looking for the model that is a wall mount, you would need the model 55424-RB, a diverter and the Delta Wall Elbow 50560-RB.

at 1.75GPM, is this enough water power? how does it compare to 2.o or 2.50 which are not so available . are there any that are 2.oo that are similar?

What is the difference between the 55424 and the 54424 handheld shower heads?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 55424-SS Hand Shower includes a wall mount to mount the hand shower onto the wall. The Delta 54424-SS-PK Hand Shower includes a shower arm mount to mount the hand shower to the shower arm.

How much does the handheld shower head weigh?
I am looking for something with a decent spray (to rinse out soap and conditioner), yet be lightweight and less stress on my arm. How much does this weigh?

Would you mount this at same height as standard shower head or lower to allow for upward extension of shower head?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 54424-PK should be mounted wherever it is most comfortable for the user to reach for it. It does not have to be mounted lower than a stationery showerhead.

Does the 54424 shower head have a restructure in it and if so where is it?
