Excellent quality
I am well satisfied with the quality of this wand. It is rated at 1.2 GPM. I would like a bit more force but it may be the water pressure at my house, though it checks out at 78 PSI.

Solid and elegant hand shower
The hand shower has a very solid feel and looks very elegant. I have not run into any issues with the installation nor operation. This installed using a diverter along with a standard shower fixture.

Is there a water flow restrictor on this handheld shower head? If yes, can it be removed?
Thank you for your question, JoeL! This model is currently designed to run at 1.75 GPM at 80 PSI. We do not recommend to remove or modify the flow restrictor.

Can I add a Wall-Mount Handshower?
We haven't placed the Durarock up yet and still have time to modify the new shower. We were thinking of adding a Wall-Mount hand shower. We already have a T-17251 installed and wondered if we could add a diverter or should replace the existing trim valve.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17251 can have a handheld shower added to it by getting a few peices. You will need Delta Faucet model # R11000 diverter along with T11851 trim. Pick out your handshower, for instance we have 2 that we recommend. Model 57051 has a 24" wall bar with it and model 55051 is a wall mount handshower. With either one of these, you will need a wall supply elbow which is model # 50560.

Thank you for your question. The Delta 55051 Hand Shower Unit can be installed along side of the Delta Monitor T14251 Shower Faucet by using a 3 Way Diverter Assembly. Here is a link to our available diverters:

Will 55051 Work With T15251
I am getting showerhead T14251 and wondered if this hand held showerhead can work with it. If so, what else do I need to make it function properly? I want to be able to use shower head only, or hand held only or both. SS finish

Thank you for your question. To be able to use Delta Faucet model # T14251-SS with the 55051-SS, you will need to purchase a diverter. We recommend the Delta Faucet model # R11000 diverter rough with the T11851-SS diverter trim. To complete the faucet, you will also need the wall elbow for your handshower. The model number is 50650-SS.

I have this hand held and the T17251 Shower. What diverter do I need?

If you are planning on adding a diverter rough-in valve and matching Dryden trim you will need the R11000 diverting valve with either the T11851 (3-setting) or T11951 (6-setting) trim. Alternatively you could add a shower arm diverter with mount such as part number U4920-PK.

I plan on using the handheld as my only shower head. Can it mount on a previous Delta shower spigot and must it be attached to a wall bracket or can the hose hang down as other handhelds?
Thank you for your question, JTKB! The model 55051-RB includes a wall mounting bracket. The hand shower itself will not attach directly to a shower arm but can be used with a shower arm mount such as model U4920-RB-PK. The hand shower can be ordered separately as part number RP52589RB along with a U495D-RB60-PK hose.
