Rated 1 out of 5 by LindaH from Nice looking but Poor design We did a bathroom remodel 6 yrs ago using this attractive faucet. First of all, it is not aerated so any volume of water that comes out splashes up and makes the mirror, the counter, my clothing all wet which has required me to wipe down everything after use. Clothing gets quite wet and uncomfortable. The pop up drain assembly has not functioned for the past 3-4 yrs. Last of all, the surface has already pitted. We are replacing our faucet but this time I will read all reviews and not purchase from a high end plumbing fixture store and make a purchase based on positive reviews.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dano from Water flow Form seems to overshadow function. Water stream is harsher than expected, therefore there is splashing when it hits the bowl. Not a matter of water flow, as it seems to be worse, the lower the water flow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by nana423 from Needs to be redesigned I bought this several months ago and it has not worked properly since. The water hits the pop up and splatters all over the person using the sink. When I tried to get it repaired I was told the warranty does not cover any repairs. They sent the parts they say I need without any directions. When I finally got the instructions I needed a plumber to fix the problem. Delta will not back up their products. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by nana423 from Corrosion Problem We installed this faucet in our newly remodeled guest bathroom and within a few months it began to corrode around the water outlet and the splashing is horrible. Every time I use it I get water all over my clothes. The water hits the "pop up" drain and goes everywhere. We have Delta faucets throughout our home with no problem, except this one. I'm trying to replace the water filter but can't find one anywhere. I'm so disappointed in the quality of this Delta product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KMcB from Corrosion and splashing are both unacceptable. We are on our second of these faucets and both the original one and its replacement started to corrode around the spout within a few weeks of our beginning use. We have a whole-house water softener, and we don’t have this corrosion problem with any other faucet in the house. So I concur with many other reviewers on this corrosion issue. Also, I completely agree with other reviews about the unacceptable level of splashing this faucet causes, even at a very low output. This faucet is a mess and really disappointing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by D3845 from Hot water pressure and temperature very low I tried to increase hot water pressure and temperature by replacing cartridge. It made a small but noticeable difference not to customers liking. What else can I try delta 553LF

Rated 2 out of 5 by Crazycarpy from Great looking, water goes everywhere! Just finished our bathroom remodel. Splurged on the vero series of faucet and trim and it looks gorgeous. Unfortunately I failed to read the reviews on this faucet and the water goes everywhere. It does not matter if it is right over the drain or if you put your hands deep in the bowl—there is no way to avoid getting water everywhere. It was so expensive but is non returnable and it makes the bathroom a mess all the time. Very disappointed and now we are trying to not use the sink.

How should I remove the button over the set screw? Model 553LF, part RP51095.
Hi, Chachi69! Thank you for your question. The button over the set screw Delta 553LF Faucet can be removed by simply popping the button off with something flat like a small flat-head screwdriver . Best Regards, Rosanna

Does the water come out straight down or at a slight angle. Degree of spray? Thank you
Thank you for your question, Jackie W! The water coming out of the spout of the Delta Vero Lavatory 553LF faucet would flow straight down, due to the stream straightener in the end of the spout. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-553LF.pdf Best regards, Tanya

We want to buy this faucet but I'm concerned about all the reviews on splashing. Is there a certain type of sink that works best with this type of faucet to avoid splashing. We are building a house and I need to spec the sink as well.
Thank you for your question, Barry. We recommend installing the faucet so that the water falls into the drain or onto the stopper. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 1-800-345-3358 or email email@example.com. We’d be happy to help! Best regards, Jon

Please provide more information about how the drain stopper works.
I do not see a pull up handle in the back. Is there one? If not, how does one stopper the sink drain?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 553LF-SS has a push-pop assembly for the drain.

Can a bathroom sink faucet be installed in a bidet?
I'm planning to buy the 553LF faucet for my sink but I'm have trouble finding a matching bidet faucet. Can this one be installed in a bidet?
Dear Kermitgi, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Vero Lavatory 553LF has a flow rate of 1.20 GPM at 60 PSI, this would be to low of a flow rate and no proper connections for a bidet install. Best regards, Tanya
