Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Worst We own two of the Stainless Steel Vero 553LF’s we installed in a new home. They are without a doubt the worst faucets we have ever owned. Water flow is spotty and the water splashes everywhere. My wife has ruined numerous rayon pieces of clothing due to the water splashes. Also no easy way to clean out the aerator when they have any kind of debris in them. In a house full of Delta plumbing products - this is one that needs a complete rethink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great faucet - not for the novice installer I was a little nervous because so many people have said the splash from the faucet was too much. We have found that not pushing the lever all the way to the stop will limit the flow enough to eliminate excessive splashing. Do most people only use their faucet wide open? It is possible to calibrate the flow from a decent valve below the sink if you can't control yourself from pushing the lever all the way for maximum water flow. Do you turn your garden hose on full blast and complain it is too forceful? No, the flow is limited by using the valve to limit the flow. It is not rocket science and using common sense before installation will save you from the negative feelings of a poor review when most of the complaint could be solved with some thought on your own. There is no aerator - there may be splash with any non-aerated faucet. Take into consideration the sink design does it have a flat bottom? is it too small for the flow of what you expect, is it deep enough for Niagara Falls-like flow?

Absolutely love the design and look of them but wish the water flow didn't cause the splashing that it does. In looking at the various comments I am wondering if our plumber didn't install the stream straighteners. I can't seem to find them anywhere but would be interested to see if they help with our frustrations on flow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captivating at the faucet and the flow. Had these faucets installed during a reno of 3 yrs ago. We have conditioned water which may help with the spotting; however, can use pre-moistened cleaning wipes periodically to really make them shine. Did a lot of investigation upon choosing these. Others may like to note: at least at that time, Delta offered different filter squares to insert for water outflow adjustment. This "laminar flow" esp is not aerated, which one of the reasons why I chose them! Wish others had better luck for various reasons of unhappiness.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Corrosion and Splashing I purchased two Delta Vero 553LF-SS bathroom faucets for my bathroom remodels. I loved the look and tolerated the splashing but am very unhappy with the corrosion around the water spout. Instead of showing off my bathrooms, I am embarrassed with how bad the faucets look. I do not have a corrosion problem on my new Delta kitchen faucet or new Delta shower head that I purchased at the same time. Disappointed especially at $500 each.

First of all, it is not aerated so any volume of water that comes out splashes up and makes the mirror, the counter, my clothing all wet which has required me to wipe down everything after use. Clothing gets quite wet and uncomfortable. The pop up drain assembly has not functioned for the past 3-4 yrs. Last of all, the surface has already pitted. We are replacing our faucet but this time I will read all reviews and not purchase from a high end plumbing fixture store and make a purchase based on positive reviews.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs to be redesigned I bought this several months ago and it has not worked properly since. The water hits the pop up and splatters all over the person using the sink. When I tried to get it repaired I was told the warranty does not cover any repairs. They sent the parts they say I need without any directions. When I finally got the instructions I needed a plumber to fix the problem. Delta will not back up their products. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Corrosion Problem We installed this faucet in our newly remodeled guest bathroom and within a few months it began to corrode around the water outlet and the splashing is horrible. Every time I use it I get water all over my clothes. The water hits the "pop up" drain and goes everywhere. We have Delta faucets throughout our home with no problem, except this one. I'm trying to replace the water filter but can't find one anywhere. I'm so disappointed in the quality of this Delta product.

We are on our second of these faucets and both the original one and its replacement started to corrode around the spout within a few weeks of our beginning use. We have a whole-house water softener, and we don’t have this corrosion problem with any other faucet in the house. So I concur with many other reviewers on this corrosion issue. Also, I completely agree with other reviews about the unacceptable level of splashing this faucet causes, even at a very low output. This faucet is a mess and really disappointing.

Unfortunately I failed to read the reviews on this faucet and the water goes everywhere. It does not matter if it is right over the drain or if you put your hands deep in the bowl—there is no way to avoid getting water everywhere. It was so expensive but is non returnable and it makes the bathroom a mess all the time. Very disappointed and now we are trying to not use the sink.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Corrosion and water marks We recently built our dream home and put Delta Vero stainless steel faucets, body sprays, rain heads, and shower heads in all of our 4 bathrooms. We are extremely disappointed in the look of these stainless faucets. They look like they belong in a public restroom with splash marks and corrosion on each faucet. I have cleaned them all to no avail. The corrosion in our master bath sink faucets is unsightly. I hate the look of the "brilliant" SS. It will not get clean no matter what I try. We have a top end Culligan water softener system that was installed in our home when it was built and these faucets started corroding within a month. I think there is something wrong with the stainless finish. I wish I had gone with another brand in brushed nickel. See pictures below. Our home is only 8 months old and won the 2018 Parade of Homes in the $600K - $1 million category. After reading all the other reviews about splashing (which our faucets also do) and corrosion, I am amazed that Delta has not corrected this problem.

I have 3 Vero faucets in my home, they`re beautiful and work flawlessly excepy one leaks...the plumber that installed them put in 2 new cartridges, it still leaks...Delta agent insists I try another cartridge. They don't want to simply replace the whole faucet. Lifetime warranty? I highly doubt it....

The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because of the outward design...minus one star for the splash issue, minus one star for the poor customer service and minus one star for the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Deserve 1 Star If I could rate this with a zero star I would. The spout corrodes even following cleaning directions using a white vinegar solution. Perhaps because we have 'hard' water. However,the rain shower and other shower heads are fine. Throwing well over a thousand dollars out the window for someone else to find is a better use of your money. This faucet should be off the market!

It looks great but the Stream Straightener RP76571 causes the water to splash, sometimes out of the sink bowl. The Stream Straightener needs to be redesigned; more like the Aerators of other Delta faucets.

Why is Delta still selling this defective product? no Aeration so water splashes all over the sink. We use another bathroom to avoid using this fixture.

We want to buy this faucet but I'm concerned about all the reviews on splashing. Is there a certain type of sink that works best with this type of faucet to avoid splashing. We are building a house and I need to spec the sink as well.

Can a bathroom sink faucet be installed in a bidet?

I'm planning to buy the 553LF faucet for my sink but I'm have trouble finding a matching bidet faucet. Can this one be installed in a bidet?
