Broke in less than 18 months
Had all new shower installed with Delta fixtures. Chose matte black. The black is peeling off the cord attachment and the button no longer works. For the amount of money this costs, it is not worth it.

Poor performance
Purchased and professionally installed barely over a year ago, selector button broken. Unimpressed considering the cost.

Disappointed Hand Shower from
Cheap Plastic, Lasted 18 Months
For the price you'd think it would last a lifetime! It was installed less than 2 years ago and the selector switch is already jammed. Lesson learned, I'll stay away from big box hardware store products from now on!

Good Handheld
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice looking handheld. Functions well with multiple settings. Only downside is that it feels cheap (plastic construction).

Ok
Nice form factor and sleek design. Multiple spray function is a plus. However, the handle is plastic, and I was expecting more for the price point.

Is there an approved way to install the mount without drilling (i.e. with some type of adhesive)? If so, can you share the steps and approved materials?
Hello Bryan,
Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta H2Okinetic Wall Mount Hand Shower 55799-BL only has the one type of installation, using brackets and screws.
Best regards,
Tanya

What diverter valve is used with the T17299 series shower unit?
LCM Inc,
Thank you for your question. The matching diverter for the Pivotal collection is T11899 or T11999. Either trim will use the R11000 Rough-In Valve.
https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/showering/shower-components
We also have an integrated model that combines the diverter and 17 series trim. These use an R2200 Rough-In Valve instead.
Best regards,
Jon

Does this hand shower attach to a Delta 3 Hole Roman trim set up? Is there an adapter to connect it to the tub faucet?
Thank you for your question, Blye D! The hand shower on 55799-PN, can be used with a Delta Roman tub trim, that uses an R4707 rough in valve. That hand shower would be included with Delta Roman Tub model T4799-PN, which would need to be installed with the R4707 rough in valve. I have included a link to model T4799-PN's web page for you to refer to. Feel free to contact us directly, if you need further assistance.

Does the 55799-BL come with the wall mount elbow?
Thank you for your question, Glenn! The wall mount is included. The supply elbow is sold separately. We recommend the model 50570 Wall Elbow.

I did not receive the part that attaches to the wall where the hose comes out. it looks square and hides the elbow connection. I have neither the elbow or the decorative cover. Please help.
TIP for Delta: I also recommend you make sure your own customer service team knows this. I requested a list of everything I needed to purchase for this unit. . . to install it and provided a picture of the setup (from your own website). Your team DID NOT identify this as a separate product that needed to be purchased. This is the picture I provided to customer service. . . it clearly shows the elbow. https://media.deltafaucet.com/elvis/InContext/md/T17299-BL_T11999-BL_55799-BL_50570-BL_RP61294BL_U495D-BL60-PK_MID_WEB.jpg

Using the 55799 hand held shower sprayer in the shower, a) do I need a diverter valve to shut off the shower while the hand held unit is in use? b)
b) what is the pipe size, thread and protrusion from finished wall to be able to attach the hose, also does Delta make a 90 degree adapter in polished nickel that transition from the copper pipe from the wall to the adapter and then to the hose for a more professional look?
Thank you for your question. To switch water between the shower head and hand shower you will need a 3-Setting Diverter. You have two options for a diverter.
One option is an in-wall diverter, which consists of the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a T118_ Diverter Trim Kit to match your shower valve trim. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560, which connects to a1/2" threaded pipe.

The second option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-PK or U4929-PK.

Jon
