Hot Cold Missing from
Delta Trinsic Single Hole Faucet
This model of Trinsic does not include 2 dots silkscreened to the top cap which indicates cold and hot water. ( red & blue dots) All the other Trinsic bath, shower sets, tub etc faucets I have used include these 2 colored dots. Even the picture in this review page shows the 2 colored dots but it is not on the product. Instead this model has an all chrome top without the dots, and so to indicate hot and cold it includes a plastic color coded ring that you must insert under the top cap, by pulling up on it,removing it completely, and then removing the bonnet ring, placing it. then placing the 2 parts back on top that must snap back into place. HUH?? yes! Well, this is an accident waiting to happen as the top of the faucet can develop a leak from the pressure of the pull to remove the top. There is absolutely no cost saving in manufacturing to change the cosmetic look so why was this done??
Furthermore, there is no indication in any of the literature or photos that the traditonal , trademark and forever Trinsic 2 colored dots are not on this caps model. Perhaps some people want an all chrome top without colored dots? WHY? but the dots are so small I cannot see this being a requirement. Someone messed up in product marketing..
As a contractor I have installed dozens of these and the lack of the top cap color code is a major oversight.
I use this series in all contemporary & transitional design homes and the look is outstanding so much so that you are seeing knock offs everwhere these days. I recommend the series & the brand but not this model.

Nice, quiet but not very strong.
Great look, easy to install and decent water flow. I appreciate that it is quiet but wish it had more pressure and water flow volume. It's soft on the hands but only washes hands with scrubbing. I've had it installed for about 60 days and it hasn't malfunctioned. I wish the price was more afordable but all in all I've enjoyed this and received many compliments.

Good bang for the buck
This is a sleek looking faucet and adds a modern touch to my new vanity. The finish is beautiful but spots appear on it, almost like a tarnish. I’ma perfectionist so I’m wiping it constantly. It’s not a huge deal but a minor annoyance.

Love the ease of operation
I didn’t realize that the ability to shut off the water with just your forearm (rather than wet hands) was going to be game-changing! Stays clean, and water spots have been wiping off with ease. We’ve had them in place about a month, and I’d buy them again!

A very nice faucet! Design is very soft and modern. Pros and cons to the unique color. Pro: it’s beautiful and eye catching. Con: there is not enough bathroom product to support it! Think, mirror, light fixture, curtain rod… we had to go above and beyond to try to get everything to blend. But overall still Happy with the color!

Great faucet but can't stop leaking around drain
We have installed many faucets over the years, but never one that recommends silicone caulk vs. plumbers putty under the sink flange. Regardless, we did as the instructions said....about 4 times per sink now....and cant stop the leaking.

Everything provided to install without any issues. Set comes with extended length hoses but it also provides the ability to shorten yourself. This gave me a very nice custom fit! Great quality from Delta.

Leaky Faucet Dont' Buy

Our old plate is 6 in. Long. Will the trinsic faucet for (sink) work with that? I ordered Trinsic on Sat. May 25, 2019 And just realize all your faucets say fit 3 to 4 in I need to cancel order if won't work Thank you

This model can be installed as a 1 or "single hole" installation or as a 4" (4 inches from each center of the installation hole to the next hole center) installation when using the included optional 3-hole 6" escutcheon plate which will also cover your existing holes.

Delta 559LF Trinsic installation. Eschuteon used; faucet sits on eschuteon. One hole sink surface. Do I use the white rubber gasket between the faucet and the eschuteon in one-hole eschuteon installation? Or gasket only w/out use of eschuteon?
Thank you for your question, Daniel! If you are not using the escutcheon, then you will need to use the single hole gasket provided, however if you are installing this model with the three hole escutcheon, even on a single hole installation, you will not use this gasket but will still need to use the three hole gasket. The information on installing this faucet as a three hole mount or single hole mount can be found on pate 3, Step 1 of the Maintenance and Installation manual below.

I purchased this faucet for a small sink with no overflow. Can the drain be installed?

HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE CARTRIDGE ON THIS FAUCET

Looking into this, I have found instructions to replace the cartridge to the Delta Faucet TRINSIC® Single Handle Bathroom Faucet MODEL#: 559LF-GPM-MPU. Please refer to the information below. I apologize again for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please shut off the water supplies, gather your 1/8" allen wrench, wrench, and strap wrench before we begin.
1. Please remove your handle with the 1/8" allen wrench. There may be a button you can remove with your fingernails first.
2. Once you remove the handle, you should see the cap or sleeve assembly. Remove this with your strap wrench if you cannot remove it with your hand.
3. After the cap or sleeve has been removed, you should see a brass bonnet, please use your wrench to remove this part.
4. Your cartridge is now free to be removed. Please ensure there is no debris on the puck piece inside the valve. If there is, please grab q-tips or paper towels to clean it out.
5. You are now able to install your new cartridge.

We have two sinks, both with a 559LF-GPM-MPU fixture. The flow from one faucet is about 1/2 gpm. I can't tell if the aerator is clogged or why the flow is so low.
