Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deceptive Product Description! Advertised as "Durable Brass" construction. WRONG! The Mounting Brackets are PLASTIC. Those brackets are providing the structural support and integrity (or lack of) for the Slide Bar. My bad for not reading earlier reviews more carefully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solves Short People's Problem! We recently remodeled our bathroom and the shower head was set higher than a comfortable level for the shorter members of the family. This slide bar matches our fixtures perfectly so it looks great. It is easily adjustable in height so the little kids as well as the towering adults have no issues. Install was easy and it looks great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheap plastic construction I have been purchasing Delta products for 15 years now for installation into my customers bathroom remodels. I purchased this bar for my own personal bathroom and am very disappointed. Usually most Delta products were constructed of metal but this arm is not. It is plastic. I typically boast to customers about the quality of Delta products and about their guarantee. But I am not impressed with this particular piece and frankly disappointed in Delta for turning to plastic for the construction. It does not describe the material that it is made of in the description. It simply states that it is brass construction but I am not sure where. I have found that these types of fixtures tend to chip and peel the chrome finish over time. Sorry Delta I would not recommend this product.

Can this be used with any hand-held? What other parts will I need if so? - Slide bar - Hand held shower head - Wall mount elbow - Valve trim - Rough-in valve Accurate or am I off? Anything else?

Thank you for your question, McPh! The model 51361-SS will include a hand shower, 72 in. stainless steel hose, a 24 in. wall bar and a wall elbow. It will not; however, include a rough-in valve or trim kit. All Delta hand shower mounts are designed to hold any of our hand showers. Best regards, Edward

Can the portion that holds the shower head be reversed? So that the shower head is either on the left or right of the bar? In order to accommodate mirrored bathrooms.

How does the sliding mechanism slide up and down the bar? Is there a button on the mechanism? Or does the mechanism rely on friction?

I purchased this slide bar and the installation screws were not in the box. Are the anchor, wall bracket and screws readily available at a hardware store or available for purchase through delta?
