Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deceptive Product Description! Advertised as "Durable Brass" construction. WRONG! The Mounting Brackets are PLASTIC. Those brackets are providing the structural support and integrity (or lack of) for the Slide Bar. My bad for not reading earlier reviews more carefully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solves Short People's Problem! We recently remodeled our bathroom and the shower head was set higher than a comfortable level for the shorter members of the family. This slide bar matches our fixtures perfectly so it looks great. It is easily adjustable in height so the little kids as well as the towering adults have no issues. Install was easy and it looks great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheap plastic construction I have been purchasing Delta products for 15 years now for installation into my customers bathroom remodels. I purchased this bar for my own personal bathroom and am very disappointed. Usually most Delta products were constructed of metal but this arm is not. It is plastic. I typically boast to customers about the quality of Delta products and about their guarantee. But I am not impressed with this particular piece and frankly disappointed in Delta for turning to plastic for the construction. It does not describe the material that it is made of in the description. It simply states that it is brass construction but I am not sure where. I have found that these types of fixtures tend to chip and peel the chrome finish over time. Sorry Delta I would not recommend this product.

How does the slide mechanism work?   Is there a button?

Is it possible to purchase just the slide mechanism separately?

Actually, I was able to order a replacement, and just finished installing yesterday. I purchased through Wayfair, where it's listed as "RP64239PR 1" W x 3" H Surface Mount Kit Shower" and it costs around $30.00 - was very happy that I was able to replace just the broken part without needing to re-purchase the entire fixture!

Does the bar come with mounts or hardware?

We have the Model #567361 24" adjustable slide bar.. It was installed by our contractor and the first time we used it, we accidentally broke the plastic pins that secure the grab bar to the shower wall. Is there a way to purchase the replacement pins

Does this work with the hand held showers that are part of a two in one combo? I have a two in one combo that has a holder that is a suction cup. It works OK but a bar or permanent mount would be better as they wouldn't fall off the wall occasionally.
