"The sliding bracket will not hold the shower head in position. I’ve adjusted it so many times and had to more or less use the hose to hold it in position, so now the hose is leaking too. Paid a lot of money for this and it is crap." PREVIOUS PERSON WROTE THAT. ii FOUND OUT AFTER INSTALLER LEFT THAT i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - i HAVE TO HOLD SHOWER HEAD TO USE IT WHEN i SHOWER OTHERWISE IT IS SPRAYING ANY AND EVERYWHERE AT WILL WHEN THE WATER IS ON. i LIKE THE PRODUCT ALOT BUT IT IS USEFUL FOR ME RIGHT NOW

Spray too narrow
Tried this for a while, but did not like the narrowness of the widest spray pattern. We ordered a different Delta nozzle/hand part to attach to the rest of the hose and elbow. The Delta 9 pattern with pause feature is much better.

This slide bar and handheld shower is very stylish and easy to use. I use it often in my remodeled baths that do not have a tub and it serves well as a shower head or convenient handheld shower spray. The lines of this accessory blend well with traditional or contemporary design. Delta is my go-to for quality dependable fixtures and this 57014 has an easy to clean spray head. The hose is long enough and the shower head has good adjustable spray settings.

Deceptive Warranty
Please be aware that Delta will not honor a true one-to-one replacement warranty! After 7 years, the outer cover of the original 70" UltraFlex hose that came with this assembly started cracking. As is customary, Delta asked for photos of which I sent. The customer rep then placed an order for a replacement. Much to my disdain when I looked at the confirmation email, the rep had ordered a universal stretch hose that works for literally every handheld shower-bar assembly Delta makes! That is certainly not what I now have nor what I originally paid for. Therefore, Delta is misrepresenting their product support. If I purchase any of their products, I should rightfully expect that the product will be backed by an exact replacement. Delta should not have any judicial right to impose a different product upon me that I did not originally spend my hard-earned dollars on. Completely unacceptable and unethical in the retail business world...

Thank you for your question, chuck! Model 57014-SS includes a 60" to 82" stretchable metal hose and a metal slide bar. The hand shower is non-metallic as metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion and retains heat.

Is there a on/off switch on the handheld itself?

I want this hand held on a separate turn on from my shower head. What do I need to do that?
Thank you for your question, Mary! You can have a separate on/off and temperature control using an R10000 valve and a matching shower trim. If you would both to be controlled by a single shower valve, there are a couple of options to divert the water between the showering components.
The first is an in-wall diverter. For this, you will need the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a T11_ Diverter Trim Kit to match your shower valve trim. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560.
The second option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-PK or U4929-PK.

The slide on the slide bar will no linger hold the shower head at an angle. We have tightened the set screw as tight as we can. I would like to purchase a replacement slide if possible. It's a Lahara 57014 in stainless.

Another person asked, "does the shower hear bracket pivot?" The answer was ,"yes, it moves up and down on the shower bar." That didn't answer the question! So, does the bracket holding the shower wand or head, actually pivot the spray up and down?

We have recently purchased this for one of our client's in brilliance stainless and they would like to know what is the correct cleanser to use to clean the grab bars etc. They would also like to know what are the grab bars made of?
Thank you for your question, GCon! The Delta Premium 3-Setting Slide Bar hand Shower 57014-SS includes metal slide bar. To clean the slide bar we recommend cleaning all types of finishes with a soft cloth and warm water, along with a small amount of mild dish detergent if necessary. We do not recommend using any commercial cleaning products on our faucets, especially faucets with the polished brass finish. Many cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. This type of finish damage is not covered by the warranty. Also, a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water mix is our most recommended cleaner.

Can this item be connected directly to the Universal Rough In Kit R10000-PCWS… We’re in the middle of a bathroom remodel using the 1755SS-716SS Shower / Tub fixture. If it possible, how should it be connected to the R10000?
