Easy to install.
I really like this. have it in junction with a larger head with a Delta 3 setting valve.
Other reviews say the hose twists, well that's just installer error. Common sence will fix this.
If the hose is twisted, loosen the nut on the handheld, untwist the hose. While holding the hose in position tighten the nut with out letting the hose twist. Wala, its fixed. I installed this during a remodel, I used the EL, and mounted it low in the shower. Why, So it will reach the other end of the shower for cleaning and to wash the dog when he gets in with me.
For the others that complain about the head being Plastic. WELL DA, if it was metal you would have a great chance of having a HOT handle. Delta did a great job with this material. Delta is protecting you and then you complain. Jees, you should thank them everyday.
Its easy to adjust up and down, you can turn the head left or right. Up to spray out and down to spray your lower back.

I love most of this shower kit EXCEPT the water diverter handle keeps pulling off of the diverter mechanism. That’s because the Allen screw on the handle does not seat deeply enough into the diverter mechanism and it keeps pulling off.

Works and looks great!
We've been using this hand shower for about a month now and we really love it. It looks like the pictures and functionally exceeds our expectations. We have it in a double shower on one of the sides and we love having the extra option for directional water.

The jury is still out. It’s only been installed for about 2 weeks and we’re waiting to see how it holds up. So far, so good. Good flow through the shower head. The adjustable bar helps keep getting the line free of tangles with the flow/temp control.

I had this installed and shortly the Slide Mechanism - Traditional Slide Bar died. It will not hold it's position. Piece of junk. Greatly disappointed in the quality.

Really poor plastic hose
This expensive premium product comes with a cheap plastic hose that won’t unravel nor hang straight. It unusable.
For that reason I give it 1 star and I will be returning it.

Hi quality. Hose relaxes and straightens after hot water runs thru it.
This is a high quality shower head and assembly. The clamp holds the height without slipping yet allows it to rotate both directions. I was worried abut the plastic hose curling up and not relaxing but after a few uses with hot water running through it, it did relax and it looks fine to me. The hose is not entirely straight like a metal one would be, but I think it is fine. Like Kohler said, you could soak it in hot water and hold it down and it will reshape if you really want that. The alternative metal hose could get hot which is why they don't normally ship that one, yet it is an option.

Disappointed
Unfortunately, this had been partially installed before I realized that the handheld shower head and attaching hose were chrome colored plastic. The attaching hose kinked and and looked terrible and I was quite disappointed.
I used the bar as a towel rack, purchased a small holder for the shower head and purchased an additional Delta stretchable metal cord. I would have appreciated knowing that the hose and shower head were plastic before purchasing.

Shower head works great
I would not expect anything but great because it is Delta. My old shower had Delta fixtures and were still working with no problems but since I was updating my shower, I chose new hardware. So far so good...what a shower it is each and every day. Life is Good.

Would be great if came with a quality hose
The overall unit is good however the product name indicates that this is a "Premium" product and it would be if not for the generic plastic hose. The hose is unmanageable and should not be part of this or any other Delta package. To make this a premium product you will need to order a Delta heavy duty stretchable metal hose in the proper finish to match your personal shower assembly.

Great value
Purchased this hand shower for master bath walk-in shower 2 years ago. We needed oil rubbed bronze and looked at many different brands before choosing Delta. We are very pleased with the quality and value of this faucet. It has luxury features and aesthetic with an affordable price. It gets almost daily use and still seems very durable. Would definitely recommend.

Practical and stylish
I had this fixture installed when I had my bathroom remodeled with a large shower with a built in bench. I was planning ahead for when someone using the shower might need to sit. This shower fixture with the slide bar and long hose fit the bill perfectly. For me, since I'm relatively tall, I keep the shower head adjusted to the top of the bar and it's just right. I picked this particular fixture because I really liked the style and look of the shower head and it was available in Champagne Bronze which I find to be a warm and beautiful color. The reason I marked it down a little on quality is that after about a year the shower head started leaking. However, Delta stood behind their product and immediately sent me a replacement at no charge. It works wonderfully, better than the first one ever did, so I think that first one was probably defective from the get-go. I'm on well water, so don't have high water pressure, but this shower gives a good, strong flow. I'm very happy with it and would certainly recommend it.

very sturdy bar, stiff hose
We purchased this set mostly for the bar. it looked very study and sleek. we got lucky and had studs right where we wanted to install the bar, so it ended up being sturdy enough to lean on or hold when washing.
only downside of this set is the hose. it's very stiff b/c it's light (made of plastic) would coil back up. initially I thought it was an ok trade off b/c it was so light. but the hose never felt relaxed but always tense and coiled. after a week, I replaced it with a metal-based hose, which was heavier but was overall easier to use b/c it was smoother to transition as I moved and it didn't try to coil up on itself. now we are happy with the entire set up. we've had this for about 9 months now and continue to enjoy our shower.

This shower hardware is easy to use for either adults or children as the adjustment lever is smooth and easy for smaller hands to adjust. As a remodeler, we use this product along with other Delta products in a variety of finishes.

Easy to adjust. Hand held part slides nicely, easy to tighten or loosen, does not slip once height chosen and tilts on bar. Easy to lift off bar to use hand spray. Hose is good length to reach whatever you need to spray.

Great for kids!
We primarily bought this for our three small kids who prefer baths over showers. Since we're redoing the bathroom with the tub in it this shower head and shower bar made it simple and easy for the kids to take a shower without any issues. They love that this can be adjusted to their height and the nozzle allows them to choose how the water comes out.
The only issue we have had so far is that the piece that holds the shower nozzle doesn't stay tight. I think it just loosens with wear. Nothing a Phillips head can't fix.
Overall we are very pleased and the price was the right amount for us.
I would recommend.

Just installed but love!
Just completed my bathroom renovation. Delta 57014 hand shower package is a solid product that is well crafted, not flimsy like many competitor products. I especially like the design of the slide bar and the shower head bracket which is surprisingly very stable and allows for exact positioning without movement once the shower is on. So far so good!

Thank you for your question, chuck! Model 57014-SS includes a 60" to 82" stretchable metal hose and a metal slide bar. The hand shower is non-metallic as metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion and retains heat.

Is there a on/off switch on the handheld itself?

I want this hand held on a separate turn on from my shower head. What do I need to do that?
Thank you for your question, Mary! You can have a separate on/off and temperature control using an R10000 valve and a matching shower trim. If you would both to be controlled by a single shower valve, there are a couple of options to divert the water between the showering components.
The first is an in-wall diverter. For this, you will need the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a T11_ Diverter Trim Kit to match your shower valve trim. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560.
The second option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-PK or U4929-PK.

The slide on the slide bar will no linger hold the shower head at an angle. We have tightened the set screw as tight as we can. I would like to purchase a replacement slide if possible. It's a Lahara 57014 in stainless.

Another person asked, "does the shower hear bracket pivot?" The answer was ,"yes, it moves up and down on the shower bar." That didn't answer the question! So, does the bracket holding the shower wand or head, actually pivot the spray up and down?

We have recently purchased this for one of our client's in brilliance stainless and they would like to know what is the correct cleanser to use to clean the grab bars etc. They would also like to know what are the grab bars made of?
Thank you for your question, GCon! The Delta Premium 3-Setting Slide Bar hand Shower 57014-SS includes metal slide bar. To clean the slide bar we recommend cleaning all types of finishes with a soft cloth and warm water, along with a small amount of mild dish detergent if necessary. We do not recommend using any commercial cleaning products on our faucets, especially faucets with the polished brass finish. Many cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. This type of finish damage is not covered by the warranty. Also, a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water mix is our most recommended cleaner.
