The bar itself is metal (not plastic like a lot of others), It's sturdy, adjusts to the height you want and locks in place. It has three shower streams.... which is what I wanted. No leaks or drippage. It works extremely well and I would definitely recommend it to others. Quality, quality, quality and great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT BUT... Very good quality product, but center to center distance of mounting holes is 23 3/4 inches, not 24 as in the directions. This is due to factory assembly, which can be easily reversed. Or you could drill mount holes 23 3/4 apart, but without doing one or the other, cannot mount properly on wall. Measure the center to center distance on the mount holes, do not accept the factory distance as accurate.

Model 57021 is rated for 1.75 GPM at 80 psi. What is the expected flowrate at 50 psi? Thank you!

How much of this item is made of plastic...I want all of the slide bar parts made of metal including what the handheld shower bracket and the hose and the shower head itself.

Thank you for your question Dale! The slide bar is metal. This unit also has a 60-82" stretchable metal hose. Our hand showers are non-metallic, as metal is heavier, retains heat and is susceptible to corrosion. Best regards, Edward

57021-ss extra pcs

i will purchasing the shower hand spray with bar 57021-ss what other parts are needed, like the knob to turn on/off? i will be purchasing a rain shower head to be used on ceiling mount, and want to control both of these pieces separately.

Hi RPM, Thank you for your question. You will need to order a valve only trim of your choice in the (SS) brilliance stainless finish, a R10000 multichoice rough in valve, a 3 setting diverter trim model that will start with T118, a R11000 diverter rough, a RP50570SS wall elbow, a RP61058SS ceiling mount shower arm and flange, the rain showerhead of your choice, and the 57051-SS slide bar hand shower. The diverter will allow you to operate the showerheads separately or both at the same time. Thanks, Dave

Does this product have a removable flow restrictor?

I am considering a model 57021 handshower. Our water supply pressure is 30-40 psi, so a fixture rated at 2.5 gpm at 80 psi will actually deliver much less. Is there anything we can do about this?

Hi John, Thank you for your question. Flow restrictors are usually found in the neck or threaded end of the shower head exposed when the shower head is removed from the shower arm. While it is possible to remove flow restrictors from shower heads, we strongly advise against it for several reasons. Flow restrictors for faucets are an integral part of most showerheads and it is generally not possible or desirable to remove them. For water conservation purposes, most plumbing codes require faucets and showering devices to not exceed a certain maximum flow rate. Removing the flow restrictors could cause these devices to no longer meet these codes. At 40-50 psi the model 57021-SS hand shower will provide approximately 2 to 2.25 gpm. Thanks, Dave

Does this come with the wall outlet to mount or do you need to purchase that separately?

Hello Emily Kelsey, Thank you for your question on the Delta Premium 3-Setting Slide Bar Hand Shower. I would love to answer this question for you! This model does not include a shower elbow or a separate hand shower mount. It does include the handheld wand, hose, and wall bar with an adjustable hand shower mount that is secured to the bar. Here are three shower elbow models that have a similar style to this hand shower: 50560-SS, 50570-SS (cubicle), and U4980-SS-PK. If you are interested in purchasing a separate wall mount for your hand shower I would recommend model RP61294SS as it has a similar style to this hand shower. I hope this was helpful!
