Kinked Hose
Leaving the shower head at an angle results in a kink in the hose. Must return the shower head to the vertical position after using. The position on the sliding bar has never been changed.

Product does not hold the shower head into position
This product was installed by a professional plumber / contractor in a new home's master bath. The shower head bracket that holds the shower head has a set screw in it that does not work - that is, it does not hold the shower head into position and it slides down to the lowest position and the shower head points directly to the floor of the shower. This has caused the hose to kink which reduces the water flow to only a trickle. I've tried tightening the screw dozens of times and it just does not work - the hose is now starting to leak. To solve the problem I've had to prop the shower head (& hose) behind the bar and put a block of wood behind it to keep the shower in a position to deliver a spray - unfortunately the spray now hits the shower wall and not the person taking a shower but this at least allows water flow and a somewhat directed steam of water. I've also tried duck tape. There does not seem to be a solution at least one that I have been able to figure out.

Good looking, no left right capability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The metal bar is great improvement over the plastic but the system is way to close to the wall. The head has little or no left right capability. It's good for facing straight out but little else.

Not working after 2 years
The clamp that holds the shower head started to untighten itself after about 1 year. I tried to tighten the clamp every few days but it still would not work. The shower head would fall on to the ground every night until I started pushing the hose toward the wall and kind of let the wall keep the shower head upright. The hose got constantly bent because of that and it started leaking after about 2.5 years.

Head Droops
This has been installed for over 2 yrs. and started out great. Over time I guess the hose has softened. Every time I take a shower the head takes a nose dive and crimps the hose allowing no water flow. Our water pressure is fine and the other shower heads are fine. Maybe I need to try a different brand. We had much better one when we lived in Germany 30 yrs. ago.

Wonderful product, but?
This is a wonderful product. Good strong spray and I particularly like the metal hose as opposed to plastic. Only downfall is that the spray handle holder is set in place by a screw and offers no vertical movement once set. It will move horizontally from left to right however. The slide bar works great. Before mounting the slide bar, measure the distance between the anchor screws directly from the slide bar and not the measurement given in the instructions.

Looks good but awkward fit
This looks great, shower works well it the bar is not far away enough from the shower wall for the hand held to fit comfortably in it without hitting the wall. The back of the hand held is just too long.

Can't go wrong with Delta
The only complaint I could find is the mount for the shower hose on the end of the hand held was straight as opposed to curved. Made it set very tight against the mounting bar. Good product other than that.

hand shower package
I replaced an existing wall mounted shower head with this package and love it. It gives great height adjustment for different height people to shower and the hose is very flexible and makes it much easier to clean the tub and walls. it is attractive and sturdy and easy to install.

It's OK not top notch
This is an OK but not a top notch product. I have had to replace the shower head along with the hose and I have only owned it 3 years. The good thing is that this is a Delta product and if anything goes wrong call them up and they send you a new one at no charge. The biggest problem with this is the hose and the fact that the bar sits to close to the wall. If you are using this as your main shower head and need some adjustment to have it angled downward then the hose (which is stiff) will kink. I have decided to order a slide bar mechanism (part# RP61121RB) hoping this will fix the problem, although nothing says the diameter of the bar or whether this will fit my current product.

At this price, I expected better from Delta
Very difficult to install as a replacement. The hose is too short. The hand held shower head easily falls out of the slide bar holder (poor fit).

Satisfied, but installation options are not available
I bought this item t replace a similar Moen item that I had had for 20 plus years. I liked the item, but, in order to install it, I had to modify the item to fit the Moen opening and that involved additional drilling and tapping.

Perfect For SItting or Standing in Shower!
Purchased last year as part of a basement bathroom remodel in the Brilliance Stainless finish. My husband needs to sit in the shower and this slide bar works very easily to adjust for people sitting or standing in the shower. The finish is great as it shows no water spots (a very important thing for us in terms of maintenance and cleaning). This was professionally installed by the plumber doing the construction. We are both pleased with this product.

Disapointed
The included hose is stiffer than a garden hose in the middle of winter. The stand offs are not long enough, look at the picture, the shower head can not be at a sharper angle because of the hose. Nice quality but the hose is ridiculous.

Great additional convenience to my bathroom

i bought in May 2014. i like it, but some advice hope it improve, hope the distance from slide bar to wall is wider a little bit, then the handle is easy rest on the hook. 2nd, the ring between hose and hand holder is easy loose, water always leak from there. Three different water outlet, that's enough for me.

Extremely pleased
We recently updated our shower in our master bath and chose this slide bar handshower for the seated portion of our shower. I love both the look and the way it functions. The slide works flawlessly and holds the rather large showerhead securely. It adjusts the angle of the head and the height with ease, a simple twist of the handle. I had it professionally installed, but had no complaints from the plumber. I really think that I could have installed it myself, but it was part of a major renovation, so it made sense to have the plumber do it.

Nice looking but issue with bracket. Delta resolved.
I had a little problem with the bracket that holds the sprayer. It would not tighten enough and the sprayer would not hold position (it would flop forward). Because of this, the hose got a little bent/kinked holding the weight against the shower wall.
I just got off the phone with Delta and they were awesome. The customer service person was a real help and they are sending me replacement parts.
I hope the new one does not have the same problem. If so, they said they'll replace with a different model.

I love the functionality and beauty of the style and finish of the product. The slide bar is metal, sturdy and, so far, easy to adjust the slide bar and the three shower streams. No leaks when diverted to the overhead shower head to the handheld. It works extremely well and I recommend it to others. Quality and great price. My contractor installed so there were no problems
encountered.

Love the product, but...
I enjoy this product The removeable, adjustedable showerhead have caused longer showers. My water bill actually went up.
The product description on site needs to advise the purchase of a valve handle. Luckily, I figured it out, before the plumber's work date.
My carpenter and plumber struggled to figure out where pieces should be placed, Maybe a plan could be included.
It was installed in a shower kit. My carpenter had to come up with something to hold to the slide bar to the wall.
I recommend this product, just trying to be helpf others

Good, but one shortcoming
This bar shower is better than the previous Delta bar shower whose handle support was made of plastic and sloppily held the handle.
However, the handle support on this model is held by a friction tightened screw and if you choose to adjust the angle of the handle a few times the screw loosens and the handle droops and will need screw tightening over and over. We just set the angle and don't move it to preclude the problem.

Thank you for your question. You are welcome to add the Delta 57021 hand shower with slide bar to your Delta 58480-PK. We recommend using a in-wall diverter or 3 way diverter to divert from one unit to the other or have both on at the same time.

In one place I read this is a 5 setting shower, in the manual it says 3 settings. Which is it, and how do you change settings? (57021-RB unit)

The model 57021-RB features a 3 function shower head. The settings are changed by the moving the trim ring that is around the face of the shower head.

Installing shower T17278RB, but also want handshower, 57021-rb what separate diverter needed?
We want to put a separate diverter valve on our hand shower, using a lever handle, h278rb.
We are going to use a R10000-unbx for the single shower and to control the temperature and volume of the water before the secondary diverter valve to control the handheld.
Which roughin valve should we use with the lever handle?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17278RB and model # 57021-RB can be used together if you add Delta Faucet model # R11000 diverter rough and Delta Faucet model # T11800-RB trim. This will allow you to use the handshower and showerhead together or separetely.
