Valve will not work all three functions
I purchased the set that had the regular shower head, the hand held with the slide bar, two jet sprays and the diverter and valves. The valve that is sold with this set will not work all three functions it will only work 2. Completely defeated the purpose of purchasing this as a package and it was expensive.

Shower is fine hand held not so much
The shower works fine and I did buy a rain shower head to go with it however, the hand held doesn’t have a lot of oomph. I can’t use it very well to clean my shower and upper tiles. I should’ve listened to other reviewers who said the same.

Disappointed in Finish
I am disappointed in the stainless steel finish. Despite the fact I have conditioned/soft water, every little water drop shows. I also find the shape of the handheld to be awkward and difficult to use.

Great products but beware of stainless steel finish
We just purchased the Dryden shower system with body sprays and handhelds plus two sink faucets (about $3000 total) in Polished Nickel to replace the same Dryden products we installed two years ago in Stainless Steel. I love the look and performance of the Delta line but I can not recommend this stainless steel finish in a bathroom. Even with weekly cleaning and daily wipe downs the fixtures looked terrible within a year and by the two year mark I could no longer stand it. I hated to spend that amount of money again, but the should not be selling that stainless steel finish in shower products. I'm hopeful the polished nickel finish will be able to handle being around water. They're definitely beautiful!

Finish Not Holding Up
I have had this shower wand installed in my owner's suite bath for approximately 6.5 years. It gets minimal use, as there is also an overhead shower head that is used as the primary. Although this line is marketed as stainless steel with a lifetime finish, the finish has begun to erode on the underside of the wand. I selected the Dryden line, due to the substantive style which fits my personal aesthetic. But I also purchased these products in this price point, because Delta boasted of their superior quality. After several calls and photos, Delta is honoring the warranty. But if the product were actually stainless steel, this issue would not have occurred.

Bought this as part of a shower system for a remodel. Reviews sounded great. Now that it is imbedded in marble, come to find that the hand-held has only has one setting that sprays about 6 inches without the help of gravity. The shape is angled awkward so it is hard to hit your body without dragging the hose all over you. Not enough pressure to get soap out of your hair. Totally useless and must be replaced.
We bought almost all faucets, hardware, shower systems, and even the kitchen sink from Delta. This was the only disappointment.

Does this showerhead 57051-RB install as a Y connection to the main shower head or is it a separate wall mount?
I ordered it for my new house and the builder needs to know when he runs the plumbing. Thanks
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 57051-RB can be installed two different ways. We have a shower arm diverter that is installed in between the shower arm and showerhead. It is Delta Faucet model # 50650-RB. The other way to install this model is to get an in wall diverter. Delta Faucet model # R11000 is a diverter rough in. Then depending on what style shower you have, there is a matching trim for a 3 port diverter.

Dryden handshower work as a stand alone shower?
Does this handheld on a slide bar work as the only shower head if we wanted to keep a small shower simple, or should it go with a mounted shower head?
Will be for small tub shower enclosures, and want a slide bar for growing kids, but the head looks small, so wanted to know if it has sufficient spray to be the only shower head. Love the contemporary clean look, but need adequate spray.

Thank you for your question. The Dryden handshower emits 2.0 GPM (gallons per minute), which is comparable to a standard Delta Faucet shower head.

I would like to put a regular shower head, T14251-S&S, on one end of the shower and slide bar with hand shower on the other end.
I prefer separate controls for each in case I only want water from one device at at time. On occasion I would like to use both devices so two people can shower at the same time. What do I need beyond T14251 and 57051 to accomplish this?
Thank you for your question. To join Delta Faucet model # T14251-SS and 57051-SS, you will need a diverter. We recommned the R11000 diverter valve with the T11851-SS diverter trim.
This will allow you to run the shower only, the hand shower only, or the two together.
If you want separate controls for each one, then you will need two valves and T14051-SS to operate the handshower. We suggest using the R10000-UNBX rough-in valve.

I need to (temporarily) replace my 5701 Dryden hand piece with (I understand) a flow rate of 1.75 gpm with a maximum flow rate 2.50 gpm or as close as possible. Please recommend the appropriate path forward, with a part number. Thank you!

I bought the Dryden head when we purch in 2009. However, the slide bar is diff from the one depicted on your website. How long is the new one depicted? The one we have is in a bow shape approx. 31 1/2" in overall length and approx. 28" oc

Is the showered metal or plastic?

This hand shower is composed of a mixture of metallic and non-metallic materials.
We primarily manufacture our products with a mixture of metallic and non-metallic materials for safety and longevity of the model.
Fully metallic products tend to rust overtime and often hold heat which causes burns easily.
Also, non-metallic shower heads and hand held wands will hurt a lot less if dropped on your body while showering and will be a lot more light weight when holding the wand for an extended period of time.

I am interested in the Dryden bathroom collection in the spotshield finish, however the handheld shower does not come in spotshield like the rest of the collection. Why??!! Which finish best matches spotshield? Stainless? Polished Nickel?

I am looking to install both 57051-SS (hand held shower and bar) and T17251-SS (shower head and control valve). I believe I also need a R1000-UNBX or R11000 valve as well as a U4929-PK 3-way to install on shower rod. Is there anything else needed?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Dryden Slide Bar Hand Shower 57051-SS can be installed two different ways. We have a shower arm diverter that is installed in between the shower arm and shower head. The models are U4929-SS-PK or 50650-SS.
The other way to install this model is to get an in wall Diverter Rough-In Valve R11000 and matching Dryden Diverter Trim T11851-SS. You would also need the Wall Elbow 50570-SS for the hand shower hose connection. This will allow you to run the shower only, the hand shower only, or the two together.
