Exceeded my expectations
I ordered online to replace my 40 year old faucet. Have had Delta before, liked what I read and saw so I ordered it. I am a 62 year old woman and did the installation myself. This faucet looks great, minimal water spotting and easy to wipe off. The handle moves easily and smoothly. Water flow was better than I expected for a water-saver. I like it so much that I plan to order another to replace the faucet in my other bathroom (just as soon as I recover from working upside-down under a vanity).

Pop up drain
I assumed that "Pop Up" referred to the drain that you push on to operate as opposed to having a lift rod to operate the drain opening and closing. This is not as smooth to operate but works OK.

nice faucet
My handyman had this faucet in in no time... I think he had to trim something to make it fit onto the solid surface counter I had custom made. It's beautiful and works so smoothly. It has a nice height (without being ridiculously tall) and a nice reach. It's smart looking without being too trendy or boring... Looks more expensive than it was. Very solid.
My only gripe was that I was under the impression the box would say Made in USA and it states Made in China. Disappointed in that part.

We had a plumber install as the previous one, also a Delta and not that old, 15 years, was difficult to remove. It did not take long to install and it works great. Very smooth and looks good too.

Delta 583LF-WF (Faucet)
Faucet arrived less than 24 hrs after ordering in good condition. Price was less than ordering from Lowes and much quicker. Faucet installed easily except the pop up drain mechanism required some tight manipulation. Faucet works fine and looks good. My only negative is the waste pipe came in gray PVC rather than chrome. The faucet is mounted on a corner wall mounted sink so all plumbing is visible and all other plumbeing is shiny chrome. The other point is the instructions say to use silicone under the faucet and drain. I understand this is what is used for granite and Corain type sinks but not for porcelain?? I used plumbers putty since it was easier and it worked fine.

Beautiful & functional
THE GOOD: This faucet is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a single-handle faucet in either stainless or nickel that didn't look like a cheap builder's model. This faucet has very attractive lines; the design is well proportioned, simple, and versatile (my bathroom has a modern theme, but the curviness of this faucet would help it fit into a more traditional bath as well). The faucet extends a comfortable distance into the sink, yet the handle isn't so tall you bump your head on it when washing your face (a problem with another faucet I own). The finish is nice-looking and easy to clean; it blends well with the brushed nickel handles of my cabinet. And unlike most Delta single-handle faucets, it has the ceramic disc valve so you can easily select temperature and volume (unlike those annoying ball valves where it always seems like a guessing game).
THE BAD: The only reason I didn't go with 4 stars is that the included drain is bulky and in its most open position still leaves only a small amount of room for water to pass by. I guess this is good for preventing some items from going down, but mostly it just means that if your water is going full blast or you have a sink full, you have to be patient and give it a little extra time to empty the sink.

Awesome!
The brushed steel look on this faucet is beautiful on our granite corian top. Because we had only one hole drilled, we were able to install it without the optional cover plate (dirt collector). It looks slick and works well as all Delta faucets I've had.

My faucet water lines are too short to reach water supply. Can I purchase a longer water supply line or or an extender?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 583LF-SSWF Faucet supply lines have 3/8" compression fittings. We recommend checking with your local plumbing supply or hardware store for hoses that can attach from the shut off valves to connect to the hoses on the faucet.

I have a faucet in this series. (Booklet says Model 583 Series shows 59218. I need to remove the stopper but I can't figure out how to. I tried pulling on it and I tried unscrewing it. Both unsuccessful

Thank you for your question. To remove the stopper assembly, you will want to unscrew the nut from the drain assembly underneath the sink. Remove the horizontal rod from the drain assembly. You can then pull the stopper out of the sink from above.

Thank you for your question. The Delta Classic C-Spout Lavatory 583LF-WF faucet body is cast brass. This faucet has a ceramic cartridge with high temperature rotational limit stop and the 50/50 pop-up assembly has metal flange with a plastic drain.

what is the functional difference between the 583LF-SSWF and the same model characterized as C-Spout, they look identical but the C-spout is about 50% more than the base model#
