Hi Cindy Austin, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The 58480-PK has a coule different setting options. The lever on the right side of the shower head will allow for flow for the shower head, the hand held, or both together. The lever on the hand held is to change to all 5 of the setting, the button would be pushed in for pause and pushed in again to resume flow. To separate the hand shower from the shower head, put your fingers around the hand shower handle with your thumb on the shower head. Push with your thumb to pivot the hand shower and release it. Hello, I apologize for the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help you. There is a diverter knob on the right side of the showerhead portion. One setting will allow for showerhead-only operation, hand shower only or both at the same time. If it is on the hand shower only mode and you are only getting a trickle then you will want to press the black pause button on the hand shower firmly to disengage it. I am sorry to hear that your H2Okinetic® In2ition® 5-Setting Two-In-One Shower In Lumicoat Chrome MODEL#: 58480-PR-PK is having a lower than normal pressure, which can be very frustrating. I am so glad that you contacted us, so we can get this taken care of for you! Low flow is normally caused by a blockage or debris, we would recommend a whole system flush, and soaking the showerhead in 50/50 white vinegar and water for 15-30 minutes. Please see the shower flushing steps below. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. The hand shower and shower head are non-metallic. All of our current shower units are non-metallic. This helps prevent heat transfer that could result in scalding and reduce weight. Non-metallic parts are also beneficial in that they do not rust or corrode. Please know that all of our products are tested to ensure long-lasting use and have a Lifetime Limited Warranty. To first troubleshoot the issue, I recommend soaking the hand shower in 50/50 white vinegar and water then rinsing. This can dissolve mineral deposits that may affect the button.
