With three spray-selection buttons and a pause feature, ActivTouch hand showers allow you to choose from up to nine different spray settings with a simple, one-handed activation, delivering a new level of innovation for an enhanced handheld showering experience. A Delta® hand shower is great for showering yourself or your loved ones and pets, as well as for keeping your shower and tub clean. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. The pause setting gives you ample space for shaving, lathering and other shower tasks, without worrying about overspray or water waste. This spray setting helps you conserve water, so you can worry less about depleting your supply of hot water - and you help the environment too. Delta WaterSense labeled faucets, showers and toilets use at least 20% less water than the industry standard—saving you money without compromising performance.

Bad Selector Button Design
After two years the selector button on the handle began to stick. By year 3, it ceased working. Replaced the hand-wand and two years later the button again began to stick. By 3-years the button was inoperative. Not Delta's best design.

Questionable
When I had a bathroom remodeled, I chose this hand-held shower. I liked it. When I had a second bathroom remodeled, I had the contractor install the same hand-held shower. I now have a problem with the first one: one of the buttons gets stuck in the down position. I wrote Delta about a month ago about this issue and never received a response. Needless to say I am disappointed--I expected a response. Rating for product: excellent. Rating for customer service response to my letter: no stars.

Lightweight and Stylish
I’m very happy with the hand held shower head in matte black. I use it as my main shower head because I like it more than the rain head. It’s lightweight so it’s been great to use on my slide bar.

Bad Form, Delta!
I am very happy with the nine different spray patterns that are offered, as I needed a soft spray for health reasons, but I'm quite disappointed in Delta for the reason that many others have mentioned - the unit is plastic. For the price that Delta is charging, and to keep their good name intact, they really should be offering a metal shower wand head. I can already feel the two pieces of the handle becoming loose where they are joined together probably not enough glue 😡. That's quite frustrating, but I like the spray patterns so much that I will give this four stars.

incorrect item sent to me.
shower head has female threads to attach it to the hose, I needed one with male threads. Someone said they would find me one with male threads but they never got back to me.

Can this be used to replace the hand held that comes with the Cassidy shower system (I just had the Cassidy installed a month ago and I do not like the shower head on the handheld part).
What type of hose (that is sold separately) should be attached to this?

How do i use this shower head buttons: DELTA FAUCET 59424-SS18-PK

The spray settings can be changed by rotating the face of the hand shower. The button on the front is the pause button, which reduces the water to a trickle.
