Hi, JStar! Thank you for your question. There is a small pivot seal and gasket that would need to be unscrewed to remove the stopper from the horizontal rod underneath the sink. Once this is unscrewed off, you can remove the stopper from above the sink. The faucet should fit a sink bowl with your dimensions. Hi JK, Thank you for your question. The 8" is measured to the faucet centers, this is the measurement between the center of the 2 faucet handles. The model T4797-PNLHP shows a 10"-16" installation to give the lever style handles sufficient space to move freely. This dimension does not include the hand shower. If the flow is less than 1.2 GPM @ 60 PSI, we would recommend flushing the faucet and cleaning the aerator to remove any debris. The wrench should fit in the grooves and will rotate counterclockwise to remove. There may be calcium/mineral buildup around the aerator if it is tight.
