I am replacing a SM-79 unit that doesn't work with my new gold cover and steam inlet. Will this require any changes for the wire used? Can I order the unit without the finish pieces for inside the shower since I already have them?
The Steamist SM-79 is a 9kw and worked with certain Steamist model user controls. The 5GE-SMP12-240-1 is a 12kw. Please make sure the electrical service in the house can support this power increase. The user control from SM-79 will not work with the 5GE-SMP12 model and will need to be replaced. The control cable may be reused.

What's the difference between the Steamscape and Simplesteam units? They look identical and I know that Simplesteam used to be EliteSteam. Is the Steamscape just a repackaging of the Simplesteam?

Hello, I have to replace my Steamist TSG-12 bought in 2017. This unit needs to be replaced with another 12 KW. 1. Do I have to replace the steam outlet in the shower as well or can I use the existing one? 2. Can I use the same CAT cable?
You may reuse the steam outlet and the control cable.
