Low water pressure
We bought this to replace/update an old handshower that worked great but was just getting old. We were looking for a Handshower that had good pressure and thought we had found it when the packaging says OPTIMAL PRESSURE right on the front of it. What a disappointment - there was no pressure. I also did not care for the feel of the handle/showerhead - It was too light\weight. I understand the comments from Delta about conserving water - but nowhere on the box does it say anything about conserving water - it only says Optimal Pressure. We are returning it today.
We purchased a Waterpik Powerpulse for the exact same price as we paid for this Delta and it is wonderful. Has the power we were looking for, the weight of the wand we like and is even better than the one we originally replaced.
Delta may have other handshowers that are better - but for this one to say on the package Optimal Pressure - it is misleading and a disappointment.
Do yourself a favor and do some research before purchasing this model and make sure that you can return it if you are not happy with it.

Now I have two - but first one pause failed
Installed my first one about 6 months ago and just purchased one for our second bathroom. All was good until yesterday when the pause button on first one installed failed. How do i fix this? Is it fixable?

Pause button failure
Please do not dismiss my product complaint. My complaint is not that the Pause button does not shut off the water. No matter how high or low the water pressure is, pressing the Pause button DOES NOT slow the water flow to a trickle as the customer service rep stated that it would.
Other than the Pause button failure, it is a nice shower head. I see there are a number of reviews on the Delta.com site addressing the same complaint as mine.
How will Delta resolve this product failure issue?

Pause button is ineffective
I purchased model 75704 and installed it last night. The spray settings are fine, but the pause button only very slightly decreases the water pressure. I purchased this product for two features: the 72" inch hose and the pause of water flow. I shower my dog once a month and needed the extra hose length and the pause to help conserve water and avoid water spraying onto the bathroom floor while shampooing her.
I am disappointed with the non-performance of the pause feature.

Pause button does not work
After approx. 6 months of regular use the pause button stopped working on this shower head. I hope Delta will honor their lifetime warranty and send me a replacement soon.
If they do, I will give this item 4 stars. Right now - just 1 due to this flaw.

OK Showerhead
I purchased this shower head at HomeDepot a week ago. Reading the box it expressed optimal pressure. The water pressure in my new house is lower than my previous home and this shower head just didn't meet my expectations. Only the center stream had pressure and the full shower head was just the outside ring of water. If I used both together the pressure fell to minimally acceptable. I know you have to reduce the water gpm but I enjoy an invigorating shower like you get in a hotel. Will be returning it to HomeDepot. Was expecting more as Delta manufacturers good products.

Looks Great But NO Pressure!
Everything about this handheld sprayer was great, installed easily, many settings, pause button BUT THERE WAS NO PRESSURE! Couldn't rinse out shampoo or conditioner. Returned to store. Too bad they don't make a version with 2.5 GPM?

Just What We Needed
I paid a little extra to get the pause feature for my father-in-law and the 7 spray settings are good for the rest of us. Works well as a replacement for the older shower that was cracking.

Massage spray does not work
I installed this today and shower sprays OK, but the massaging spray does not work at all, the ONLY feature we are seeking. In the past we had showers that work well with a massaging action. Is there a flow constrictor built in? I would remove it if I could.

I have installed two - 75704. One in a master bath walk in shower, the other in a traditional tub/shower. I'm having the same problem on both installations. The shower head when in it's holder will not point down enough.

Thank you for your question. The Delta U3401-PK adjustable shower arm mount will pivot about 30 degrees in any direction but will not pivot enough for the hand held to point straight down completely as there will be a slight angle.

The washers in the hose and the mount on my 75704 hand shower have been damaged. I would like to replace them. I see the part for the washer in the Q&A, but not for the mount part that is a combine washer+screen. Can you please provide a part number?

Does unit contain a backflow preventer?
Instructions said to make sure a backflow preventer is present, or else install a vacuum breaker. Does the 75704 have this?

Most Delta hand showers include back flow prevention unless stated otherwise in the installation guide or technical specifications sheet. If your hand shower is engraved with "ASME a.112.18.1" it does have back flow prevention. I hope this was helpful! where is the flow restrictor on this model? In the hand held part or the wall piece?

I attached my new faucet. Model 75704. But the pause button doesn't shut off the water, it only reduces it by about half. What's wrong?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 75704 hand shower pause setting will not be a positive shut off. There will be a small amount of water coming out of the hand shower while the pause setting is activated.
