Would not order again.
Install should have been easy (I've installed multiple bath hardware) but set screw did not "grasp" the back plate. Build.com was great and replaced/reordered the original product with same product. Tried again, but same result. Poor design. Bought another tissue holder which installed easily.

2 of these tissue holders had the nut stuck within the hollow bar.
2 of these tissue holders had the pin stuck within the hollow bar. Made the unit unuseable. Rather than just send a new pin, I had to return the items and wait for replacements.

Although it looks good and is extremely easy to mount, this line of accessories always becomes loose and eventually damages the drywall/paint when mounted on sheetrock. There is not a set screw on this design.

Can you install it vertically instead of horizontally?

The tissue holder can be installed in any direction. Unfortunately, the bar can not be removed from its base. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Can this be mounted on the left side of the toilet? If so, will the stopper still be on the top of the bar?

We do not recommend mounting this to a toilet as it could damage it. More so, the mounting hardware requires mounting it to a stud.
