Does this lever operate by pushing in on the handle versus most toilet levers that operate bu pushing down on the handle?

will the Ara tank lever work with an American Standard toilet?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet 77560-BL.
This tank lever would work with a toilet with a flush valve that pulls up the flapper seal with a chain. It is not recommended for pressurized flush or dual flush toilets.
It can work mounted on the left front or left side. Also, it can work in right-side mount toilets.
