And the way it assembles, the pieces do not lock together and ends up rickety and prone to pull out of drywall. Replacing one month after install.

Do Cassidy towel bar end pieces mount to the wall brackets with hex screws and hex (or Allen) wrenches?

I have seen some other Delta products mount with a newer clip-on design (no hex screws), and I was wondering if the Cassidy series have that instead of hex screws.

What is the towel bar made of?  Is. it rust proof?  What is the finish?

Hello dale, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta Cassidy 24" Towel Bar. I will be happy to assist you today. This towel bar is of a completely brass construction. Being made of brass it will not rust but if you are installing this towel bar in a wet environment we do advise you to dry the fixture off after every use to preserve the finish. This towel bar is available in Chrome, Champagne Bronze, Polished Nickel, Venetian Bronze, and Stainless Steel finishes. I hope this has answered your questions. Is the bar a separate piece such that it can be cut to accommodate a shorter span?

I purchased Cassidy 24" towel bars in Stainless. Two are installed behind doors. I did not realize that the bar is slightly bowed. Is there another 24" bar that would fit in the Cassidy bar holders?
