Somewhat cheap feeling
Just bought this and am a little disappointed with weight of it and the fact the ring doesn't move or give at all. Was expecting something of a better quality feel. The look is fine though and it should hold up fine but a little disappointed still

C towel holder

If it didn't match everything else
I didn't have much choice but to get this ring as it matched everything else. The BIG drawback is that the ring is solid. It does not swivel in the post. So everytime I remove or replace the towel I have to be very careful and wedge it between the wall and the ring. Bad design

Does not move
It is a so so towel ring, matches my faucets etc, all of which i love. However, as mentioned, the ring is immoveable. And it is not returnable, so will have to live with it. Would not have purchased had I known in advance.

Pretty but not perfect
This is a very pretty towel ring that matches my other cassidy fixtures and hardware. It does not move however. It is fixed, and I wonder if it could snap if pulled hard. I think it would be a better design if it moved as you pulled the towels off.

I like it, but.....
It's a good looking piece and easy to install. However, the towel ring itself is immovable. So, while it's no big deal, there is a little less towel maneuverability.

I bought 2 of these - one for each side of the lavatories. I need to be able to reverse the direction of one of the towel rings so they will look balanced. We have not been able to reverse one of the towel rings. Any suggestions?

how to remove unit from installed
Hi, Vancouver Jack!
Thank you for your question. The Delta 79746 Towel Ring can be removed by unscrewing the set screw at the bottom of the mount. Once the set screw is removed, the whole towel ring can be removed from the bracket. Here is a link to the Maintenance & Installation Sheet to show these instructions:

Is it polished chrome or just chrome in the Cassidy style?

This towel ring, model 79746, has a Chrome finish. A model number which contains 'PC' at the end of the model number will determine whether or not the model has a Polished Chrome finish.

The ring is not secure or flat to the wall. There is no setscrew to loosen or tighten the unit. At the very underside there is a square opening with no screw. How do I move this unit from the wall ? Unit # 79746

Thank you for your question. On the underside of the Delta Cassidy Towel Ring 79746 unit, there is a set screw that you would need to unscrew, using the provided 3/32" Allen wrench. Then you would be able to remove the towel and access the mounting hardware behind it.

Is there a way to loosen the ring so it is pulled further away from the wall it is mounted to?

Is the ring reversible so the opening is on the left?
Can this ring be installed so that the opening is on left instead of the right as shown in the photo?
There is a set screw that appears to secure the ring.
I loosened the set screw on two rings that I had, hoping that it would free the tower ring and I could flip it. It was not readily loosened. I decided that I didn't wish to gamble breaking the towel ring for purposes of reversing the ring.
If the ring had come out and I could have flipped it, the set screw would have been on the top for the ring. (As well as the set screw for wall attachment.)
