Rated 1 out of 5 by from missing parts and water is either hot hot or cold screw to hold handle missing from package. Scalding setting is not useful. Water is either scalding HOT or COLD COLD. Mostly the water pressure is COLD. Will not purchase again and trying to figure what I am going to do with this faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I have been searching for the cartridge for Delta model #B114900. I drove around for 3 hrs looking at every hardware store. Nobody had it. Another 1/2 hr online and still nothing! I now have no shower until I find this piece !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loose handle We just installed this about December 1, 2017. The handle keeps coming loose and once fell off completely! Fortunately, it did not damage my brand new tub! We have used the enclosed allen wrench to tighten but it continues to come loose. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work properly. Also difficult to install or replace Had two different plumbers attempt to install this correctly. Both ended up with the same problem. As you turn the handle it does not function as intended. It's either on hot or lukewarm. I suppose I need to get a new cartridge. Another issue is the valve doesn't have a it's own shutoff. So to replace the cartridge you have to shut off the water mains. This is a major problem if you live in a multi-unit complex as I do. I hope Delta will send a replacement part. My first plumber did not keep the receipt.

I am trying to replace the cartridge to fix the leak problem. I could get to this point but did not understand how to go further. I had to remove the outer rim asset because I was not able to pull out cartridge. See pic. Please show video on how to do

Asked by: Deltaman
Hello Deltaman, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not have a video for removing the valve cartridge assembly for the Delta Foundations Tub and Shower B114900 faucet. Once the handle, trim sleeve and escutcheon plate have been removed, you would need to unscrew the bonnet that is holding the cartridge in the valve body. At this time, the cartridge assembly along with the check valve assembly can be removed/ replaced. Best regards, Tanya

I recently had the B114900 installed by my contractor. It worked great but now the pressure to the faucet/shower head, has diminished noticeably. I am trying to correct this myself without a contractor charge. What are my options? Thanks, Stern

Asked by: Stern
Hi, Stern! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your faucet. You may have some debris trapped in the valve body or cartridge assembly that is blocking the water flow. You may need to clean out the cartridge assembly and flush out the valve body. First turn off the water supply to the faucet. Remove the handle assembly, unscrew the bonnet ring and remove the cartridge assembly and all seals. Rinse and clean the cartridge out thoroughly. Turn both the hot and cold water back on for 10 to 15 seconds to flush out the valve body. After the allotted time, turn the water off and reinstall all of the components. Make sure that there is no debris on the cartridge assembly and seals. If this does not fix the issue, you may need to replace the valve cartridge assembly, RP70538 and the check valve assembly, RP73625. Best Regards, Rosanna

Replaceable with series 17?

Is this replaceable with a series 17 trim and valve kit without replacing the piping unit?
Asked by: ljh08
Thank you for your question, Ljh08. The model B114900-SS does not use our multi-choice universal rough. You cannot switch to a 17 series trim using your existing rough. The entire faucet, trim and rough would have to be replaced. Best regards, Tanya

I cannot get hot water. Only lukewarm water when I turn to 'H' Hot.

I've uploaded a picture of my delta shower valve. Can I do something to adjust this so I can get Hot water??
Asked by: Kelly Mya
Thank you for your inquiry, Kelly Mya! The Delta Foundations Tub and Shower B114900 faucet has a Rotational Limit Stop, which you can adjust to allow for more hot water. For help adjusting the RLS, please see page 7 of the Installation Instructions: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/87966%20Rev%20B.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Why is PEX not recommended for the tub spout?

Asked by: John Robert
Thank you for your question John. The the entire tub spout drop must be 1/2" copper or iron pipe and extend 8-18" from the valve. Other piping, including PEX, will have a different internal diameter. Anything outside of these specifications can create back pressure, resulting in water being forced up to the shower head when using the tub spout. Best regards, Edward

problem with new install

I recently installed a new tub and shower combination. When I turn the water on at the handle it comes out of the tub spout as it should, however it also comes out of the showerhead at about half stream, without me pulling the knob.
Asked by: Dave
Dear Dave, Thank you for your inquiry! What you are experiencing with your Delta Foundations Tub and Shower B114900 faucet, is called shower-rise. Someone has made an installation error in your wall. Here are the four things to check. 1. The distance between the center of the valve body to the center of the tub spout must be between 8 and 18 inches. 2. You must use straight ½” copper or ½” iron piping for the piping down to the tub spout. No PVC piping, PEX piping, drop ear elbows or shark fittings are allowed for the piping going to the tub spout. 3. You can only use one 90 degree elbow with the piping going to the tub spout. 4. The main valve body must be installed right side up. Best regards, Tanya

Low Pressure from Showerhead

Water from tub spout is strong, but the showerhead seems to have restricted flow. How do I get more water through the showerhead?
Asked by: GrannieFD
Dear GrannieFD, Thank you for your inquiry! The shower head that comes with the Delta Foundations Single Handle Tub and Shower B114900 has a designed flow rate of 2 GPM @ 80 PSI. There is no way of increasing or decreasing the flow rate of this unit. Best regards, Tanya
