The shower head was a standard, so no other settings on it. Other than that it seems like a good, regular single knob shower set.

I have all Delta fixtures throughout my three bathrooms and kitchen a this one fits right in with the high quality and performance I’ve come to expect. The brushed nickel’s finish is modern and elegant. The water flow is smooth. What truly impresses me is how well the Delta brand has held up throughout my house, after years of use they still look and work like brand new. Having Delta’s lifetime warranty give me added confidence in the product. Overall, I highly recommend the Delta Foundations tub/shower spout and shower head, it lives up to the brands reputation for quality, style, and dependability.

The Delta product is a well constructed product that uses a solid brass body as the major component of the faucet. This is the one part, in my opinion, that should only be constructed of brass. The brushed nickel finish is pleasing to the eye and easy to keep clean. Mostly metal components which are easy to assemble. The only drawback back I have (and it’s only a personal preference) is that the shower head is small. I prefer a larger surface for a shower head, but it did create good water pressure, which is why I gave 5 stars.

I have the delta tub and shower B114900. I am trying to install the tub spout onto a 1/2" copper pipe that is 4" from my wall. It will not push flush to the wall. There is a 3/4" gap. Do I need to cut the copper pipe to 3 1/4"?

How to get more hot water

Hi, biggdaddyrico3! Thank you for your question. The rotational stop needs to be adjusted. Here are detailed instructions for adjusting the rotational limit stop on this cartridge: 1. Make sure the handle is in the off position 2. Remove the handle by removing the set screw and pulling the handle out towards you 3. Remove the small black o-ring and place it somewhere it won't get lost 4. You should see two brass rings, each with a finger pointing away from the stem 5. LEAVE THE BRASS RING IN THE BACK IN IT'S CURRENT POSITION - if this gets moved the cartridge will not be calibrated correctly and will turn on and off in the wrong positions 6. Pull the front brass ring towards you and rotate it clockwise for hotter water, or counter-clockwise for colder water. 7. Put the brass ring back on the teeth in the stem and put the small o-ring back on the stem. 8. Reinstall the handle and test the maximum temperature of the water. Readjust the limit stop as necessary following steps 1-7. Best regards, Themar

I would like to get polished brass finish trim for my B114900 tub/shower faucet. I recently had to replace an older Delta tub/shower faucet with the B114900 (at the last minute due to faucet failure) and want the new faucet to match the remaining hardware in the bathroom. Is there a polished brass trim kit or other solution available?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # B114900 is only available in Chrome. If you would like to switch to the Polished Brass finish, you will need to switch out the valve to an R10000-UNBX and then pick a trim that matches what you would like.

Trying to determine if the plumber installed the shower control correctly?

We moved into a new house and the shower takes a very long time to get warm enough to use. I do not know exactly what type of shower control but it looks similar to the foundations monitor 13 series. The angle on the markings between the full off and the full hot is about 135 degrees but handle only rotates 90 degrees. I think this is why it takes so long to get warm but the plumber says that is they way they are made. He says they don't rotate the full 135 degrees even though the marking shows differently. His solution is to turn the water heater up to almost the highest temperature. I am concerned that someone will get scalded if I do that. Is the plumber correct or just trying to get out of fixing the problem?

Hi David, Thank you for your question. The movement on the handle of a 13 series tub/shower faucet is approximately 90 degrees. The cartridge is equipped with a rotational limit stop that allows you to set the max hot water temperature. Hello Carl, Thank you for your question! I am happy to assist you! The Delta B114915C shower cartridge rotational limit stop can be adjusted by removing the handle and trim sleeve. After removing them, the handle adapter and o-ring can be pulled off. From there, the blue limit stop can be pulled off and rotated counterclockwise to allow for hotter water. Once it has been rotated, the stop can then be placed back onto the cartridge and all additional components can be installed into place as well. Please contact us back with any further questions. Undoubtedly during the remodel, the valve was not set at the correct depth and the shower walls are already installed. The 3 1/8 screws that that came with the valve to hold the trim ring are about a quarter of an inch short. Suggestions?

I installed the bath faucet for model B114915C and pushed it flush to the shower wall and set the set screw, but the faucet spins all the way around. Is it suppose to spin around the copper pipe? It is almost like the set screw is too small.

My county inspector just asked to confirm if my Delta B114915C Tub and Shower Unit is ASSE 1016, ASSE 1017 or ASSE 1070 compliant for anti-scalding temperature control to pass inspection. Is this unit compliant to those specs?
