Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I’m very disappointed with this shower base. The model Delta B12135-3232-WH is NOT compatible with any standard shower doors, which is not clearly stated. I wasted so much time trying to figure out why no door would fit, only to realize this base is designed without door support. This caused a lot of frustration and unnecessary delays. I would not recommend this unless you want an open shower only.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Shower Doors for this model The quality is OK but on the box with big bold letters it should say "ONLY TO BE USED WITH A SHOWER CURTAIN". My contractor has installed it and after everything is done I found out there are no doors for it. Shocking! I am still scratching my head trying to figure out why it has the bumps on the front side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s a shower bottom I don’t know how I’m supposed to review this on influenster - yes, I received a complimentary shower bottom and yes, I do want to gut and redo one of my bathrooms; however, I am nowhere near starting the project and as I am not a plumber/general contractor, two months is too short of a time to install and test a shower floor. But I’m sure I’ll like it eventually! It’s exactly what I thought I was getting. It was a little stinky at first with a chemical odor, but as it’s sat in my house, the smell has diminished.

Your drain installation instructions say explicitly no plumber's putty is to be used, but to follow drain assembly manufacturer instructions - most of which call for plumber's putty - so which is it - and why does Delta say don't use it? How does it seal?

What shower door can I use with this base shower base pan

If my floor is level, why do I need to fasten to the subfloor with adhesive? Won't the 9 or so screws (32" x 32") hold the base in place just fine?

Hi Peter R, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! IF THE SUBFLOOR IS FLAT AND LEVEL: We recommend applying the adhesive on floor and trowel to a depth of 1/2”. Place the base in the adhesive, adjust until it is level. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for sealant drying time before use. Please reach out with further questions! Is there a recommended door for this base?  Since the front, step-in area is not flat, I’m not sure which door goes with this base.

Considering side curves in the front what is the right door for this base? Under product features it mentions "Pairs with Delta® Classic 500™ Shower Door (DLNP36-C-R and SDGNP30-CL-R)" but in Q&A answers I keep seeing "Lyndall Model 24063"

Can you tell me what door kit is compatible with this shower base (B12135-3232-WH)? I see some reviews on Home Depot that say there are compatibility issues with some doors due to the right and left lips on the front edge of this base.

You have made it clear that you do not manufacture a door for the Classic 500 Shower Base. The real question is: Does the design of the front of this base prevent the use of any door? Or, must this base be used with a shower curtain?
