What dimensions should I make my alcove? I''m gonna add the classic 500 direct to stud walls as well. I haven't studded in the walls yet, so I'd like to know what are the exact dimensions I need to make the alcove.

What is the best sealant for the drain? Shouldn't it be something that remains flexible?

No putty on drain. "Latex/acrylic sealant" is kinda vague; what product do you recommend? Will silicone work?

I have a Delta classic 500 shower pan, 48x34, with a tiled background. Because of the edge design, I don't know what type of shower door I can use. Because of the small size, I need a hinged door that measures 48x80" in height.

Sliding door models 2421828 and SD3442267, for example, fit a door opening size of 43-3/8 in. minimum to 47-3/8 in. maximum. Please reach out with any additional questions! I purchased this base from Home Depot however the screws that the instructions say are included are not there. What type do I need to get?
