Can this tub surround be used with an existing cast iron tub from the 1950-1960's?

Must I buy the tub or will the B12207-6032-WH fit most standard tubs?

A contractor destroyed the left hand end panel when he incorrectly installed the shower valve. Can I just buy a replacement panel for the Delta Ever Edge 5041654
