The water sits and pools on the shelves and this goes against any logical thinking or building of a shower shelf, or alcove. It creates an absolutely unnecessary difficulty and added chore to the user in cleaning. I hate it. If I knew water would pool on the shelves I would have never bought it.

We called deltas customer service and we received new parts with in 5 business days. For free. My wife and I installed the unit ourselves, we carefully reading the instructions twice. The installation went very smoothly. We are very happy with our new shower unit. And now we have a new beautiful bathroom . To the delta customer service thank you for your help.

No scratches or marks on it. Instructions were simple to follow. We are a family of 6, so the shelving space is 100% perfect for us. So many different places to put stuff. Very happy with this!

Measurements were exact and fit well. The shelving is great quality and super nice to have as a family of 3. The amount of space the shelves gave us was so helpful and hooks we were able to put on the walls. The material is very durable and nothing cracked or chipped during installment. First time home owner approved!!

The smooth curves make cleaning a breeze and it really feels solid unlike other tub surrounds on the market. There is also ample shelving for products which is great if you have a large family. I know that this will hold up to the test of time and made our bathroom look beautiful. Great product from a trusted name!

Do you have to use foam tape when installing the walls. If so, what type do you recommend?

Hi Gene, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model B12207-4834-WH. The foam tape is used on the shower base before installing the walls. The foam is only sticky on one side, 3/8" thick and 5/8" wide. It is very similar to PVC or vinyl foam insulation tape. Is the wall thickness more or less than 1/4”? Asking for what size hole saw I should get for the shower handle. The one I have says to do a smaller hole if it is thin wall and a larger hole if it is thick wall.

What is the purpose of the foam tape? It was not included in box.

For the acrylic surface, you should only use mild dish detergent in warm water or non-abrasive cleaners without bleach. Do not use bleach, ammonia, or spray-on-wipe-off products (bubbling products). Can a grab bar be installed in the insert's long back wall in the middle section if we place some blocking before we install the insert? What is the width of that middle section that doesn't have the shelving for the (Lowes) Delta EverEdge 60x32 insert?

I need a 60 inch base with a center drain. I see the everedge collection had a 60 inch base with a right/left drain, but no center. Is there any other 60 inch base with center drain that will fit with this alcove?

I’m about to install the shower walls. I plan on using Loctite PL heavy duty for the adhesive but curious what you recommend for the sealant. Thanks!

Hi Billy228, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The EVEREDGE™ Shower Wall MODEL#: B12207-4834-WH wall panels snap together and the base and tub have a unique flange. When paired with the matching tub or shower base, no caulk is needed on the interior seams. Which means water can't get past the twists of the "snap channel" or over the top curve of the tub/base flange, we still recommend sealing around the finished wall perimeter of the wall set. We recommend DAP 3.0, or Loctite PL Heavy Duty Sealant, Loctite PL Heavy Duty Sealant. If these can't be found, use latex/acrylic high performance sealants and caulks that are designed for plastic/polystyrene and do NOT use water cleanup. The instructions show studs in specific locations with horizontal blocks placed in position. What happens when the stall is installed in an outside corner with the studs already in position?

Unfortunately, we have not tested other stud locations and recommend the layout in the installation manual. Check your additional stud layout when dry-fitting the wall panels.
