I received this bathtub for free through influenster to exchange for my honest review. The material of this Delta bathtub makes it look very fancy is a classic way. The triangle tub fit great for my new bathroom. It’s sturdy but to me it’s light weight for a bathtub. Highly recommended for a classic bathroom design.

What is the recommended method of tile insulation over this flange? The top flange sticks out to 3/4" over the rest of the flange at 1/2" making it difficult to create a flat surface for tiling.

What kind of adhesive for the tub bed? On B23605-6030L-WH

For BEST results, use a hybrid or advanced polymer kitchen & bath sealant/caulk that is designed for plastic/polystyrene, and does NOT use water cleanup. Other types have the potential of lesser adhesion, as well as greater shrinking and cracking over time. Examples of advanced polymer adhesive/sealants: DAP AMP Kitchen & Bath Sealant, LOCTITE Perfect Finish Kitchen and Bath Advanced Sealant Caulk. Adhesives: Any construction adhesive that is safe for plastics can be used. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and cure times. The above sealants may be used as adhesives. Can this be used with the Hycroft surround?

Because of the unique caulkless flange design, we do not recommend pairing this Classic 500 tub with a Hycroft surround. We recommend the Classic 500 surround B23205-6030-WH. Why does the product page show a sliding glass door, but in the questions you told another user to not install a sliding glass door? Are you allowed to, or not? I would really like this tub, and to install a shower door.

I'm looking to install sliding glass doors, the threshold needs to be drilled for the guide. Any issues? Total weight of the doors assembly is 125 LB.

Now that's strange. On the Home Depot site, Nicole asked the same question on October 17, 2022 about this same tub and Kyra said fine and even recommended https://www.homedepot.com/p/Delta-Classic-500-56-in-60-in-W-x-59-in-H-Sliding-Frameless-Tub-Door-in-Chrome-with-Clear-Glass-SC5T860-C-R/318719911 which requires a drilled hole for the guide.
