Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company about BT14096-OB-R! The trim kit works properly with either the universal rough valve R10000-UNWS or the pre-2006 1400 series shower valve.

What is missing from this handle kit compared to the standard version of the kit? Or is there something extra in it that standard handle kits don't have?

Does the Windmere IL14S BT14096-OB-R Trim include the shower cartridge? And is the RP46463 the correct shower cartridge?
Can I use this with a t13022 valve?
