The pressure cannot be adjusted, only the temperature, and the stream cannot be adjusted from soft to sharp, it is only very sharp.

Looks really nice but no shower pressure like we had before...
Just did a total bathroom remodel and added this to our shower...we have always had great water pressure but putting this shower head in was a downgrade...water trickles out and might look good but definitely a step down for us and wish we had read more of the reviews...I wouldn't choose to buy this again.

Great Look! BUT shower head drips!
We had these installed in our house when it was built. The guest bath always works great. The master bath however will NOT stop dripping from the shower head. Customer service has always been responsive but they keep sending the same springs and seals that never fix the problem!

the product consistently drains water after the shower is turned off.
The plumber was called twice to check the leaking shower head. He said it was a fault with the manufacture design of the shower. The water continues to drain out after the shower is cut off. The plumber said he has had several complaints with this make of shower heads.

Do you offer a cross-handle knob that works with this trim kit?
I have BT14296-OB 1400 SERIES TRIM ONLY SHOWER ONLY WITH CARTRIDGE that includes a lever-type handle. Would rather have a cross-handle to match our sink faucet handles. Also plan to install magnetic hand shower 58471 or 58472. Installation by professional plumber. How/where do I purchase these parts?

I like this line, but I am looking for more accessories. For my shower I am looking for a hand shower, body jets, 3 way divereter valve, and a drain set. For the tub, I am looking for a hand shower, and a drain set.

How do you increase the water pressure?

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Windemere Shower BT14296-SS faucet is not designed with an increasing/decreasing pressure adjustment. We would advised making sure the stops (if you have them) are fully open and flushing the valve out, if you are getting low pressure.

Can you preset temperature

Thank you for your question. This faucet has only one handle that turns from off to cold to hot, so you will need to adjust temperature each time you turn it on. However, turning the handle to the same position should give you about the same temperature each time.

Current valve is a two handle system, will this work?
I am doing a remodel. My current valve is a two handle operaration, one to turn on shower and the other for hot and cold. Delta shower and value approx 14 years old. I have attached pic. Will i need a new rough in valve for it to work, or is their an adapter piece on trim? I really can't do a rough in, as i am keeping existing shower enclosure. Unless their is a way to access it, when i remove existing valve cover. If not is their another two handle valve system with a similar style to Windermere that would work? We want it to match, best we can. Already have installed sink faucets in windmere.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this trim will not work with your existing 1700 series shower valve. However, you can use any Monitor 17 series trim using the original valve and cartridge (RP32104).

Any adapter to update the cartridge to newer version
I want to use this to update the trim on my Monitor shower valve. Even though the house was built in 2008, I'm assuming my existing valve has the older cartridge since it is white colored. Any way to adapt to use the new cartridge included with the kit? I have seen some adapter mentioned to update to a 17 series.

Thank you for your question! This shower trim will work with existing 13/1400 series showers. However, you will need to use the existing cartridge. The cartridge that comes with the trim kit will not work with pre-MultiChoice (2006 - present) valves.

Thank you for contacting Peerless Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you.
If the Delta Faucet Windemere® Monitor® 14 Series Shower Trim In Oil Rubbed Bronze MODEL#: BT14296-OB is leaking when off, we recommend a flush, debris can cause the cartridge to not seal properly. Please see the flushing instructions below, if this does not work then we recommend a cartridge replacement.
1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle.
2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve.
3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks.
4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out.
5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body.
6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds.
7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled.

I just purchased this model which was delivered on January 2 from Amazon. I installed it last night; however, this morning, I have a slight leak from the shower head. I believe I may have gotten faulty cartridge in the one that I installed.

How do I remove the handle to replace part RP4993 I have loosened the screw all the way it will come out but this doesn't let the handle come off.

To clarify from my first question. The screw inside the handle will not come out all the way. it unscrews some but not to where the handle will come off. All I need is how to get the handle off to replace part RP7993 a couple of springs with washers.

The handle is removed by first removing the cap on the end of the handle, then unscrewing the Philips head screw that attaches the handle to the cartridge. I recommend soaking the area with 50/50 white vinegar and water, then rinsing, to remove any buildup of mineral deposits. See here for more information:

I have an old Delta 1400 series shower assembly. I want to replace with a compatible Delta shower kit. Can the BT14296 shower kit work? I need a new cartridge for our existing Delta 1400 series, as well. Do I need to order a different cartridge?
