Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great look but poor output It really does look stylish and the durability is there however the performance is not there at all. I have a well system with a 40-60psi pressure switch and the water trickles out of the shower head. Extremely disappointed I wasted my money upgrading from the classic shower design. I do own a classic shower as well and that water flies out of that head and almost hits the back of the tub, should've not upgraded.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible water pressure from the shower head. The water pressure is horrible. Barely rinse soap out of my hair, and I don't have much hair. Is there away to adjust and increase pressure? If not, then this will be the last Delta product I purchase! $200 kit, and $150 to install...I feel like I was robbed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great value As with every other review from this site...wow. super fast shipping! bought tues or weds with super saver shipping, it arrived friday, like as in 2 or 3 days later. Was looking for a low price set that included a roman tub faucet. This product comes through. Very affordable, feels strong...looks great. Everything matches nicely. Wife was happy too, *she's picky*, can't wait to install. fyi, stay away from bargain brands like aquasource and glacial bay. This product is a great alternative to price, but with better quality. bought stainless *matches well with brush nickel*. Only problem or issue is that the handle seems small, but matches nicely with rest of set. Don't forget to buy the R.I.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Happy The look of this product completely met my expectations. I am very happy with how it looks in my shower. I wish there was a little more water pressure from the shower head (I had more with just a basic one) but this one is not bad and I would recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful but... The shower is very loud, much louder than my old showerhead. I have no idea how to fix that and I'm sure when I get used to it, I'll wonder why I thought it was a problem.

Q&A

How do you turn on the shower when water is currently flowing into tub?

Asked by: Ann
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model BT14296-OB is a shower only faucet so there would be no tub spout. If you would like a model with a tub and shower, Delta Faucet model # BT14496-OB includes both. The tub spout has a pull-up diverter on it to divert the water from the tub spout to the showerhead.

I need more hot water in the shower. It is luke warm when turned all the way to hot. Is this adjustable? I tried turning the hot water heater up but still only luke warm water in the shower. All the other faucets have hot water.

Asked by: Laura19
Thank you for your question, Laura19! The rotational limit stop found on your cartridge may simply need to be adjusted to allow more hot water to mix in the valve. The instructions for making this adjustment can be found on step 3, page 6 in the installation manual. I currently have a 1400 Series shower faucet. Would like to replace with this one. Will I need to replace the current valve?

Asked by: FlippingGrl
Hi, FlippingGrl! Thank you for your question. Any new Monitor 14 series shower trim will fit an existing 1400 series valve body. The new trim will come with a new valve cartridge assembly. This new cartridge will not work in the existing valve. You will want to keep your same, white cartridge. If you do need to replace the cartridge, you will want to replace with a RP19804 cartridge. Best Regards, Rosanna

Does the BT14296-OB Windemere have a ceramic disc valve & is the finish in PVD? Thank you.

Asked by: steve
Hi, Steve! Thank you for your question. The BT14296-OB includes RP46074 valve cartridge assembly. It is not ceramic. The ceramic version cartridge is RP74236. Here is a link to this cartridge: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/RP74236 The Oil Rubbed Bronze finish is not a PVD finish. Best Regards, Rosanna

is there anything i can remove from shower head to get more pressure

Asked by: KP65
Hello KP65, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the flow restrictors are not available separately as they are not designed to be removed. This unit is designed to flow at 2.0 GPM. However, we do have a 1.75 GPM regulator that you can install in the back of the shower head, part number RP77767. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP77767 Best regards, Tanya

Can I purchase a flow restrictor for the Windermere shower head, and how do I do that?  The plumber removed it and threw it away.

Asked by: navig8tr
Thank you for your question, navig8tr! You can add the RP77767 Flow Regulator Washer to reduce the flow rate back to 1.75 GPM. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP77767 Best regards, Jon

Will the BT14296-OB shower kit work with a 20 year old valve?

Asked by: Mike
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # BT14296-OB will work on your current valve if it was a 1300/1400 series already. You will need to keep your old cartridge as the new cartridge will not function properly.
