I'm installing this with a thin walled shower and 2x4 walls. If I put the stringer all the way at the back of the studs, the plasterguard sticks out past the face of the studs. Should I just not use guard? Will this cause the valve to stick out to far?

Hi Dylan, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet R10000-PFS-PX. The plasterguard should be even with the finished wall plus or minus 1/4". If it is not possible to install to a stringer, the plasterguard and the trim's escutcheon plate can be used to sandwich the shower wall. I can't seem to get a clear answer. Is the shower outlet PEX connection already brazed in? In the pictures, the tub outlet is capped. Is that cap removable so I can use this model-- R10000-PFS-PXWS-- for a tub spout? Customer service did not know.

Hi Rich, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The R10000-PFS-PXWS is a shower only installation, the tub spout plug can not be removed. The PEX crimp is already manufactured and would be an adapter to your PEX connection when installed. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Shower valve is leaking, anything I can do?

If I run 1/2" pex to a RP 100000 valve, will the RP10000 HF have more flow than RP10000 PFS PX WS?

Hello Jeff K, Thank you for your question! I am happy to assist you! For a 13/14 series multichoice series trim, the Delta R10000-PFS-PXWS receives ~ 6.5 GPM at 80 PSI, whereas the R10000-UNWSHF receives ~ 6.7 GPM. The flow rate can vary depending on the series of trim being used, as the cartridges can allow higher or lower flow. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

What’s the difference between PXWF  and the MF version of this valve?

For model R10000-PFS-PXWS, MultiChoice® Universal Shower Rough - Prefab PEX Crimp, is Delta stating that only PEX CRIMP rings are to be used, not Pex CLAMPS? Can PEX CLAMP-style rings be used on any other Delta Multichoice PEX valve (like R10000-UNWSHF)?
