What is the purpose of the "stops"

Does this valve support a seperate temperature control or is it controlled with off /on function? Also, does it require a seperate diverter for the shower if you dont have a spout with the diverter?

Hi, Thank you for your question. I do apologize for any confusion regarding your Delta product. We are happy to help! The R10000-PXWS is a universal Tub / Shower Rough - PEX Crimp that controls on and off water control. The plug RP2865 will cap the bottom port to the tub spout allowing you to use the valve as a shower only. Please contact us at 1-800-345-3358 if you have any further concerns. Do I need an extension kit to use this with the Classic 400 tub surround?

Our Delta Faucet MultiChoice® Universal Tub / Shower Rough - Prefab PEX Crimp MODEL#: R10000-PFT-PXWS would require being installed flush to the finished wall, as long as the installation/measurements are followed properly you should not need an extension kit. What is the difference between the R10000-PFT-PX and the R10000-PFT-PXWS? There's no difference in the compare view and they share the same documents.

Our Delta Faucet MultiChoice® Universal Tub / Shower Rough - Prefab PEX Crimp MODEL#: R10000-PFT-PXWS includes stops and the R10000-PFT-PX does not. Will this R10000-PFT-PXWS work with American Standard trim kits? Or does it only work with Delta?

I bought this valve, but I noticed that the copper spout is not perpendicular to the valve plane (off by like 5 degrees). Is it safe to bend it to perpendicular or does it doesn't matter too much? Or should I order another one?
