Rated 4 out of 5 by from DELTA R10000-UNBX I almost exclusively use Delta faucets so I go through many of these. The valve is well made brass and you can knock out the reducer for commercial applications to increase flow rate. The bracket is another story. It is usually damaged from the box (bent) and is made of cheap composite metal so bending it back usually breaks it. It also won't stand up to the torch while sweating. I buy several extra brackets to keep on hand to replace. Maybe Delta will make them out of brass one day...

I have 1/2 copper supply behind my wall. If I want control shower head, tub spout, and shower wand from a diverter, would I use this R10000 along with the R11000 and a non diverting tub spout?

Asked by: Bernard
Hi, Bernard! Thank you for your question. We do recommend to install the R10000 MultiChoice valve body with a R11000 Diverter valve body to connect a shower head and hand shower. We recommend to install a diverter tub spout to the bottom port of the R10000 MultiChoice valve body. You will then be able to divert the water from the tub spout to the R11000 diverter assembly. I have the R10000-UNWS (with stops). After rough-in and cartridge, how far out to I need to unscrew the stops? I am getting low flow and wondering if I didn't unscrew them far enough, but I was worried they would come out of the body. Or do they stop?

Asked by: Hugh
Hi, Hugh! Thank you for your question. The screw stops on the R10000-UNWS will stop turning when fully open. You can turn the stops clockwise up to three full turns from the open position without a noticeable reduction in flow. Best Regards, Rosanna

What cartridge fits this valve? I keep buying them and my contractor informed me I keep purchasing the incorrect one.

Asked by: Mandy
Hi, Mandy! Thank you for your question. The R10000 MultiChoice Rough Valve Body takes multiple valve cartridge assemblies. The correct valve cartridge assembly depends on your Valve Trim kit. If you purchased a Monitor 13/14 Series trim kit, you will need RP46074. If you have a Monitor 17 Series trim kit, you will need the RP46463. If you have the TempAssure 17T series unit, you will need the RP47201. Here are the links to each cartridge: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP46074 https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP46463 https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP47201 Best Regards, Rosanna

Low flow rate!  I have an R100000-UNWS with a Trinsic tub-only trim kit T14159.  I am only getting 2 GPM. When the cartridge is removed I am getting about 4 GPM.  Is that reduction normal?  Do you have cartridge cleaning instructions?

Asked by: ChrisP
Hi ChrisP, Thank you for your question! The tub spout should produce approximately 4.8 - 6.8gpm depending on the PSI in your home. There may be debris either behind or inside the cartridge. Below is a link on how to flush your Delta shower valve. Just ordered r1000-unwsbxt tub/shower valve. I am replacing an old 3-handle valve with the use of a remodel plate. My problem is distance between the tub spout and faucet centers can only be 7 " max. Will this cause stacking?

Asked by: jmd46
Hi, jmd46! Thank you for your question. The valve body to the tub spout assembly would need to have a distance between 8"-18" to prevent shower-rise. "Shower-rise"is when water can’t get out of the spout as fast as it flows through the valve. This causes the water to back up and come out the shower head when the user only wants the tub spout to flow. Best Regards, Rosanna

Hi- I just bought a Brizo shower fixture that requires an R-60000 valve, but I already had the R-10000 installed.  Do I need to replace the valve?

Asked by: katemels
Hi, katemels! Thank you for your question. The R60000 Brizo rough valve and the R10000 Delta rough valve are interchangeable, so you do not have to replace the valve. Best Regards, Rosanna
